Our boy, Miracle Mike, represents the good we hope to do with the Clown Shoes Minor Miracle Fund. A percentage of the profits from this juicy, sessionable IPA will be used to help real people (and maybe a puppy or two).

Bottle had 3 months after the bottled on date. A little thin but you can tell this is a decent ipa underneath

Bottle. Copper with small white head. Aroma of grass and earthy hops. Light body with grassy and citrus hop bitterness upfront and some malt presence with a slight bitter hop finish.

Bottle from Celebrations Carlisle. Golden copper pour with a small white fading head. Nice lacing left around the glass. Aromas of earthy grapefruit hops with hints of spices and sugary malts. Taste is a nice balance of grapefruit & grassy hops, bread malts, sugar and spices. Palate is left cleansed with a subtle dry bitterness. Actually really sessionable sitting on 5.5%. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber->SA. Bottled 4/2012, bought 7/2013, a fact that I did not notice until after pouring, to my regret. Pours an orange/gold with frothy white head. A: subtle floral hops with malt. T: grains, slight fruit, very mild hops. Too long in the bottle.

Pours amber with a fading head. Nose shows piny, grapefruity hops along with some sweet light malt and soft apple/pear notes. Nice malt characters as flavours, some soft cookie dough notes amidst bold piny hop notes. Good moderate carbonation.

A rather nice looking beer - light copper with a moderate haze - highly effervescent, with a thick, well sustained head, about a finger or two thick - aroma is bursting with sweet tropical fruits (citrus, mango, papaya), but with a balancing, peppery and woody bitterness - creamy body, moderate carbonation - flavor is much drier than the aroma suggests - lightly bready, a light dusty yeast note - peppery and citric hol flavors accompany moderate bitterness from the middle through the finish - decent, but kind of a let down given the appearance and aroma.

Pours a hazy orange color with a fluffy white head. Aroma is earthy hops, damp and dank smelling. The taste is slightly off, there’s an astringent taste to it. It has that dirty hop taste with some bitter grapefruit. It’s not a terrible beer but I’m not a fan.

22oz bottle, thanks to Casey. Hazy amber color. Thin off-white head. Nice full sheets of lace. Bottled 5/2012... Shit. Tastes a bit old, but still not bad... Not malty sweet, like some IPAs can get at this age. Kind of a soapy hop flavor, though. Light citrus. Mild bitter, mild sweet taste. Medium body, kind of crisp carbonation. Lightly dry finish. OK... Shame it’s so old. Finished the whole bomber anyway.

Maris (1393) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - JUN 20, 2013
From a 355ml bottle on 20/6/2013. Pours a relatively clear golden with a smallish to medium head. Has a moderate but nice floral, fruity aroma. In the mouth, you get mild caramel malt, lots of sweet fruit and orange marmalade, followed by a firm, slightly tangy and peppery citrus hop finish. The body and carbonation are medium. This is relatively constrained by IPA standards but is well balanced, well made and very enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours a nice dark copper/orange with some head. Decent aroma and flavor, has a bit of a juicy taste to it. This was a weird beer actually, was it really orange or what did I taste? Maybe I’ll try it again but it wasn’t cheap for a 4-pack.
