This one pours clear medium gold in color with a sticky, tall mostly white head. The aroma is light citrus and pine hops. The flavor is well balanced; slightly to the bitter side. Some dryness in the finish. Good average IPA.

330mL bottle. Pours clear golden with a small white head and a light sweet white nectarine like aroma. Alot of citrus or specifically grapefruit in the flavour with an assertive bitterness. Very nice beer.. worth a shot for sure.

Bottle. Amber with an inch of white head that lasts well. Aroma of tropical fruit, soap, caramel, vague citrus. The citrus flavours are brighter in the mouth. Sweet with mango, biscuit, caramel. No particular finish, although some pepper emerges. Modest bitterness. A bit of a muddle.

Tap @ Black Bottle. Pours a clear orange appearance with a white head. Chewy, goopy sweet malty, a bit spicy, grapefruity hoppy aroma that kind of smells a bit sweet. Citrusy, chewy, toasty, goopy malty, herbal hoppy flavor. Not a big fan of this.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, dark orange red pour with white head, aroma brought notes of nice grapefruit juice, biscuit, bread hints of grass, pine, nice lemon peel, dry honey. Taste is a mix of nice lemon, biscuit, bread, hints of nice grapefruit, hints of grass, finishing bitter, dry. Nice brew.

Bottle. Clear dark orange pour, soapy carbonation and an aroma of stale grapefruit. Flavor is white grapes, light malt, hay and mild bite of hops. If it was priced closer to $8/6 pack, I’d pick it up all the time. Will not be buying another one at their 4-pack price though.

12 oz. bottle. Pours hazy dark amber with a large foamy sudsy off white head that slowly settles to a film and sticky lacing. Aroma has mild bitter hops presence with strong caramel malt all around, somewhat sweet. Taste is light bitterness and bready with mild spice and caramel malt. I get a strange meaty bread like flavor in the finish. Palate is thin to medium with a mild spice and dry finish.

On tap at Hops and Pie poured a clear golden amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of biscuit, orange zest, tangerine, pink grapefruit and pine. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, orange zest, grapefruit and a hint of pine with a crisp dry moderatly bitter finish.

22 oz. bottle shared by jmborggren. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a big fluffy white head. The aroma and flavor had sweet malts, herbal notes, a floral soapy character, some orange citrus juice with mild bitterness. This was a bit strange to me.

Aroma is really malty, there is a touch of citrus hops in it also. Flavor is also malt forward but not overly, taste some grapefruit and citrus also. I wouldn’t call this a English ipa but it is very malt forward. Actually quite flavorful for being a sessionable ipa. Another great beer from clown shoes!!!
