3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours clear, vibrant amber with thick, creamy off-white head. Aroma is cereal and biscuit malts, floral hops, belgian yeast, citrus fruit, and some spice. Flavor is a balance of dry bready malts and fresh grassy hop bitterness with some grapefruit and citrus esters and light spice; dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Growler from J.U.G.S. Caramel color, with a big, tan head. The aroma is rye, big caramel and malts, light resinous hops, bananas, and light spiciness. The flavor is sweet and malty, with a pretty hefty hop bitterness. Heavy body, sticky, and chalky and malty. Overall, this is a very strong, very malty, and very hoppy beer. The balance and palate is lacking, unfortunately.

14th February 2013
Hazy deep amber beer with a big fluffy pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth but with fine prickly carbonation. Light creamy malt. Mild minerals. Sweet malt but with a bitterish yeast. Slightly resinous tangerine and orange. Finishes semi dry with a mild peel bitter linger. Comes together quite well. Drinkable.

9/16/13. 22oz bottle thanks to Brent! Can’t believe I haven’t had this one. Orange pour with a small khaki head. Loads of orangey citrus on the aroma, candy sugar. Sweet flavor, orange peel, candy sugar, tangerines. Not bad.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
UPDATED: NOV 9, 2014 Bottle: Thanks, Kevin. Orange like a nectarine. A bruised nectarine. Cloudy and muddled; yellow tinted, soapy and lavish head leaves behind great lace and takes forever to sink. Aroma is peppery... Lots of white pepper. Ashy hops, leafy, some minty bubblegum comes through with clove and fruity esters; must be that Belgian yeast. Taste is is minty, clove, phenolic to the core; Belgian yeast shines here. Chunky, gummy wintergreen with some extra pepper on the back. Ashy hop bitterness. A little too phenolic and a touch medicinal on the back end. Relatively low for the size, though. Medium bodied, not quite syrupy but relatively plentiful. Mid-high carbonation. Hope you like your Belgian ales spicy and minty.

Bottle pours a beautiful golden amber. Very sweet and and fresh aroma. Very good balance, if not without a ton of flavor. Pretty on point belgian ale.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; clear honey coloured pour with creamy off white head, fruity and piney hop aroma, quite pine hop forward for a Belgian style, quite sweet oranges, a hint of bitterness, some caramel, really impressed with this.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Another in a stretch of IPAs that are overly caramel tasting. Hops are second fiddle behind that and the Belgian notes are a distant third. The balance seems too tilted here.

A quality brew with intense flavor and wonderful unfiltered appearance! But---the alcohol was omnipresent! Belgian yeast and spice flavors were submerged!
