Hazy orange pour with a white head. Spicy pepper and coriander aromas. Banana, orange peel, an hits of grapefruit. A touch of lemon peel, grass, and alcohol. The flavor is a touch bitter and alcoholic. Some pineapple, grapefruit, and orange peel. Some banana, caramel, bread, and sugar. Light pine, pepper, and notes of coriander. Good pineapple aftertaste.

Bottle. Clear orange with a thick bubbly off white head. Good lasting and lacing. Aroma is orange peel, persimmon fruit, apricot, melon, bread, caramel, herbal hop notes, light honey. Light fruit esters under the hops. Taste is near heavy sweet and medium bitter. Medium+ body, medium carbonation, oily/syrupy texture. Dry and medium bitter finish. Hides the alcohol well. Very drinkable and hits like a like a truck. Good.

Beautiful nose on this one very sweet and very citrus. Taste is sweet but not over powering. Did I mention the wonderful nose. Nice beer.

22oz bottle. Bottled on 02/2012. Beautiful orange/amber color. Thick cream, tan colored foam. Pretty lacing. Aromas of orange zest, bready Belgian yeast. Sweet taste with loads of hops. Flavors of orange blossoms, sweet honey, loads of bitter hops, citrus peel, and a bit of boozie alcohol. Finishes with a nice dry hopped floral note along with the sweetness. Muffin Top requires a tulip glass for sure. I could drink this beer everyday! (3639)

Bomber bottle. Dark golden with thinner white head. Aroma is citrus pine hop with a complimentary malty sweet nose. Full mouth feel right up front. Very interesting. Definite Belgian inspired but finishes more like a full bodied IPA. Candi sugar sweetness becomes overpowered by the hop flavor and bitterness. This is almost too much of two good things as these two styles are present and bang it out in clown shoe to clown shoe combat but the IPA is definitely the stronger of the two. Yeah, the more I have the more muddied this becomes. Great idea but I think a regular pale ale would be a better style to pair with the Belgian profile.

Barreras (1054) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - MAR 9, 2013
Pours a yellow orange color with a citrus aroma. Taste is slightly spicy with a earthy taste to it. Overarll a decent belgian strong ale that was less candied than other strong ales.

650 ml bottle from bev4less. Pours a cloudy orange color with a small white head that soon fades to a splotchy film. The aroma is medium in strength with Belgian yeasts, oranges and musty melons. The flavor is more Belgian than IPA with the yeasts taking center stage and some bitter grapefruit filling in the sides and back. The palate is full and creamy with lively carbonation. Finishes medium in duration with a lingering bitter-soapy aftertaste. Overall: Not bad, but not great--I’m really not a fan of this hybrid style.
