4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle poured into tulip. Beautiful color, frothy one-finger head. Very nice looking beer. Aroma is pleasant but a bit underwhelming, simply not that powerful. What’s there though are notes of candi sugar, Belgian yeast & spice, and American sprucey hops. Taste, however, shines in a big way. A bitter blast of caramel malt and earthy hops starts things out before a nice middle of tripel qualities (candied fruit, spice, yeast) before the IPA characteristics roar back with a vengeance of hops and an intense sticky, bitter finish. Warming throughout and just a touch of astringency late. This baby burns though going down, but in a good way! Average aroma, wonderful, complex flavor that falls just shy of perfect. Interesting brew!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz. bottle. Bottled: 8/11. A muddy rust pour with a thick antique white head. Candi sugar, caramel, zesty citrus rinds, grapefruits, lemons, hay, a spicy yeastiness, a mild herbaceousness, and some bananas in the aroma. Medium-bodied, fairly creamy, and just a tad sticky here and there on the way down. Caramel, cotton candy, bubblegum, and bananas upfront taste-wise. Kinda bitter at the end with some citrus fruits and rinds. Some boozy qualities are present in the finish, though the 10% ABV is actually hidden quite well. Lots of yeasty spiciness throughout. Not bad.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz bottle pours a cloudy orange.amber color with a slight white head and some lacing. Smells like an IIPA. Tastes like an IIPA. Aroma is full of cararmel malts and floral hops, without the Belgian yeast I was expecting. Mouthfeel is slightly sticky, body is medium, and carbonation is average or below. Taste is initially sweet until the ho[s kick in for a quick finish which is drier. Alcohol is well hidden. A very good beer no matter how you classify it.

Not usually an IPA guy but this is tasty. Not as much of a deliberate after taste. Pleasant.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22 oz bottle: Appearance is golden brown with minimal off white head. Aroma is fairly hoppy. Taste is a nice blend of citrus hops and cits of caramel in the malt backbone. Not even the slightest hint of being a Belgian strong ale, this is a IIPA and nothing else.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Appearance was cloudy amber copper with creamy diminishing off white 1 finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are sweet malt with hop of pine, citrus, tropical fruits, touches of spice and alcohol. Taste was sweet cara malt with lemon, orange, grapefruit, mango.Weaving in with yeast of spiceyness and herbs with a warming alcohol in the back. Palate was smooth creamy CO2 with meduim body, then a long warming citrusy finish. A touch to much alcohol...

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Serving: 22 oz. bottle from Total Wine Sterling. It pours a slightly hazy amber orange with a lasting, creamy, off white head. The potent nose has tons of over ripe orange, tangerine, and mango. The flavor has a nice up front bitterness with the citrus and tropical notes coming in right behind. A touch of yeast character and fusels on the back end. Full bodied with a dry, almost astringent finish. I can’t say I pick up much in the way of Belgian character, but it’s fairly solid for a DIPA.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Wasn’t sure what to expect when I bought this. Never had a tripel belgium ipa but bought it from a local craft store. Aroma left something to be desired. Taste was more ipa than I thought was hoping for more of a belgium tripel taste. But I like ipa’s to so it’s fine with me. The appearance is what impressed me the most. So much yeast floating around and gathering at the bottom of my glass. The aftertaste is equal to any quality ipa. Very good beer. Time to finish the rest.
