651 ml. bottle. Pours a thick, well retained, white head, with extensive lacing, over a hazy, orange, gold (SRM 7) body.....nose is pine, resin, light fruits including peach, mango, hints of funk......taste is slight sweet fruits including peach, auras of orange peel, with hints of honey, teensy hints of barnyard, but dominated by the pine, resin of the hops....mouth feel light of medium, slightly stick, alcohol warmth present, carbonation adds acid tingle. The hop back bone dominates this beer. Both the malts and yeast contributions take a back seat. This beer is hard to place in the pantheon of styles. It is neither a D/IIPA nor a Tripel, but is an interesting in between. BJCP 7/3/14/4/7

(Rating #4735)

Bottle shared by Dr Silverworm. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with fair lacing. Moderate to heavy sweet fruit, yeast and alcohol aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy complex bittersweet flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where exceeded.

UPDATED: JAN 10, 2015 Bottle. A orange golden color with a shite head. A nice rich body with a strong hop profile but enough of the Belgian sweetness to cut through.

Pours a cloudy golden color with a bit if a foamy head after an aggresr pour. The aroma has that sweet candied fruit and Belgian yeast at the forefront with a slight hint of piney hops in the background. Tast has both styles co-mingling with the Belgian tripel at the front and finishing with the slightly piney astringent finish.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and pine aroma. Grapefruit and summer fruit flavor with light sweet malt. Merdium bodied. Good bitterness. Summer fruit and light sweet malt linger with light yeast.

Really sweet one. I feel tripels can have an orange character w/o orange, this jsut taste sweet and orange juicy, no bitterness.

22oz bottle, bottled 6/2012, thanks to Jay. Shared with the local group. Hazy orange color. Thin white bubbly head. Dots of lace. Caramel malt. Light musty orange aroma. Light belgian candy sugar, little orange zest. Bigger body. Light carbonation. Sweet taste. Little bite. Little bitter. Little musty and malty. OK, was hoping for more.

Pretty good IPA. It is nothing too special. However would drink it again, but not as a first choice.

22 oz bottle shared by DrSilverworm. Pours a clear amber color with a small white head. The aroma is sweet, malty, favoring caramel and toasted bread. Some citrus, yeast and fruits. The flavors are more sweet malts, caramel, Belgian yeast, candi sugar, and fruits. This is much more malty than I would like to see in my Double/Triple IPAs. More bitterness needed.
