22 oz bomber poured into tulip. Very yeasty and alcohol aroma. Minimal head on it. Tastes very yeasty and heavy alcohol prescence. Good, but wouldn’t do a bomber solo again probably.

Bottled@SBWF2014. Deep golden colour with a mediumsized fluffy/foamy white head. Aroma is yeasty (spicy) with some sweet malts, mild zestiness as well as some slight hints of alcohol. Flavour is quite similar, with a bunch of citrus and some bitterness to it.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma has marzipan and amaretto notes reminiscent of a British barley wine. sweet flavour with a discrete hop bitterness. Some sherry similarities in flavour. Does not feel like an IPA at all despite the description.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
An interesting American take on a Belgian strong ale. Pours a dark burgundy with a light beige head. The nose is lightly toasted, caramel, nuts and mild toffee. A nice spice blend of cloves, coriander and green peppers. The middle has no sweetness, no hops to find and a bit of fruit. The finish has an overbearing Belgian yeast and estery profile with a boozy emphasis and light spiced notes. Very drinkable and palatable. Overall, a good brew.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a very clear dark amber with very little foam. Strong sweet aroma.. Strong spicy taste which showed up once it warmed up a bit. Spice and dark fruit it what I’m getting, unique taste. I keep letting it warm up now I think I’m getting a clove taste in the back ground, no bitterness or sweetness. Overall I like this beer but I don’t think I would like to drink a lot of it.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tap at Happy Gnome. Bowling pin style glass. Wheelhouse orange color with a slight haze. Lacing is impressive. Aroma has mostly citrus and yeast. Hop comes out to play too. Taste is also citrus at the onset and finish. Almost straddles the line of a double IPA and a Belgian tripel. Alcohol well hidden. Officially, the first muffin top I would welcome in a warm embrace.
