Pours cloudy orange with tiny white fizz that dissipates quickly. Smells light, fruity, with some strong citrus notes, and mild sweetness. Tastes sweet fruitiness up front, such as citrus, with a strong, but pleasant bitterness on the back end. Medium-bodied with a prickly texture and decent mouth-carbonation, Clown Shoes Muffin Top finishes with a nice, lingering bitterness.

Tap. 10 oz pour in tulip. Orange, one and half finger head. Great lacing. Aroma is excellent dipa aroma. Smooth, very sweet. Alcohol is hidden. Very nice finish. The fruit sweetness is high but it works. Nice beer to grab a handful of.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bomber. Pours a translucent copper color with thick frothy white head. Sticky lacing. Aroma of sweet malts, citrus hops, biscuits, and pine. Taste is amazing. Citrus and pine hops up front followed by sweet fruits and caramel on the backbone. Very well balanced. Sweet like candy. Nice dry bittersweet finish.

4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bomber from Smith’s Pours turbid orangy new penny copper with gorgeous 3-finger well-retained off-white head. Nose is resiny piney juicy wet hops, mango, pineapple, tangerine, caramel funky malt, and perfumy florals. Great nose on this. Tastes rich, velvety, to a level of feeling nitrogenated, with a big tropical fruit blast up front, with mango, candied apricot, tangerine, and honeydew, even dragon fruit, a huge malt bill that balances the hops very well, and some peppery and floral notes in the finish. This one is stellar.

Pours a murky, dark gold; white head with good lacing. Piney and dank hop aromas dominate but Belgian yeast does come through; slightly musty. Sweet, tropical hops mesh with yeast phenolics and a soft, bitter finish. Full bodied, medium carbonation.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
22oz bomber from Specs in a tulip / Pours a reverent Angel Gold hue / Aroma of Fall leaves after an afternoon shower laced with eucalyptus / stiff head yet pillowy and creamy, two fingers / Bold upfront leads to a cloying but serious center of astute Belgian heritage followed by a building wave of 2x IPA !!!!! This is the mastery hidden in this brew / Long lingering finish very clean and settling as a new born baby nestled in its mothers bosom. A Favorite Forever. Bravo Ipswich.

Nose is all piney, citrus hop. Nice light amber color with a creamy off-white head. Unique flavor! Sweet citrus that reveals a light spice and clove middle that slowly fades to a floral hop finish. Perfect blend of Belgian and IPA -- the best Belgian IPA I’ve had!

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours slightly cloudy rusty golden orange with off-white foamy head. Aroma- apricot (like sweet preserves) or mango, slightly soapy, pine resin, yeast. Sweet apricot, into soapy pine very slightly bitter hops with a yeast dough background, ending with a crescendo of those flavors.
Finish- lingering doughy yeast and more bitter pine hops.
Absolutely delicious, a mix of two of my favorite styles and balanced well. The high alcohol is barely perceptible leaving a drinkable IPA with the yeast and malt of the tripel as a backbone.
