4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Pith (122) - New York, USA - JUN 10, 2013
Pours slightly cloudy rusty golden orange with off-white foamy head. Aroma- apricot (like sweet preserves) or mango, slightly soapy, pine resin, yeast. Sweet apricot, into soapy pine very slightly bitter hops with a yeast dough background, ending with a crescendo of those flavors.
Finish- lingering doughy yeast and more bitter pine hops.
Absolutely delicious, a mix of two of my favorite styles and balanced well. The high alcohol is barely perceptible leaving a drinkable IPA with the yeast and malt of the tripel as a backbone.

Tap. Pours a hazy deep orange color with a thick lasting head and extensive lacing. Aromas of orange peel, apricot?, and pine resin. Taste is a bit sweet, but HOPS are the backbone of this; piney resinous hops. Medium bodied with a bit of a syrupy mouthfeel and a dry, bitter finish. Hides the alcohol pretty well for being 10ABV. An interesting take on the whole Belgian IPA thing.
