COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pecans suck. That’s what I thought as a kid. Now I love them.So much so that I decided to create a beer in homage to the pecan as it find the perfect home: pecan pie. Our Pecan Pie Porter balances sweet and nutty porter flavors with the subtle addition of all natural and organic pecan concentrate and butter pecan extract. The result is mouth watering goodness.

Medium Body like a poter but the flavor is a little more complex than many in the style. Bits of chocolate and roasted malt. Some nuttiness and a sweetness that works itself in rather nicely. Little bit of red fruit faint and way in the back of the sip. The pecans with their way in nicely and this is not some artificially flavored syrupy drink like some of the other pie ish beers you can find.

Bottle from mane liquor. Brown/black pour with a tanned head. Nose has pecans, nuts and roasted coffee. Surprisingly the pecan comes through. Taste is more pecans backed by a dry biscuit malt bitterness. Hint of toffee sweetness to round it out. Quaffer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aged bottle. Pours dark brownish black with khaki head. Nose is roasty dark malr cacao, walnut. Tastes dark malty, roasty, with notes of walnut, cacao, mild hops, and a smooth finish.

Bottled. Black-brown pour with a fairly dense medium tan head. Fair lacing. Nose is roasty malt with a definite pecan note to it. Roasty malt up front, slight flavor of pecans. A little tang to the aftertaste. The finish is moderately bitter, slightly astringent. Medium mouthfeel with a medium-high level of carbonation. Fairly well balanced. Not as sweet as I feared it would be from the bottle description. If drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy from my iPad.

Dark brown with medium tan head. Aroma sugary sweet malt. Medium-light body. Creamy mouthfeel, no alcohol. Flavor is pretty sweet, brown sugar and corn syrup. Don’t notice any particular pecan flavor. An ok fall beer but somewhat one-dimensional.

Had on tap at the Hay Merchant. A very good aroma from the tulip glass - notes of sweetness like molasses and pecans. A good flavor with a hint of dark chocolate and espresso notes. Pour dark with a dark brown head. One of my favorites. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at Mekong The porter was served in sniffer. The porter pours a very dark brown color with a thick brown head. The aroma was of sweet malts, chocolate, berries, and a little roastiness. There was hint of pecan aroma. The carbonation was average. The finish leaves a burnt chocolate & malt taste.

22 oz bottle. Pours dark brown, with ruby edges and a one finger tan head. Aroma is sweet malt, nuts and vanilla bean. Interesting taste of roasted malt, mild chocolate and, yes pecans. The pecan flavor is light. This is not some gimmicky liquid pecan pie. Moderate bodied & smooth drinking.

Bomber poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of pecans, brown sugar, dark chocolate and graham crackers. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of pecans, graham crackers, dark chocolate, , carmel and brown sugar with a smooth lingering pecan finish.
