COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is Blaecorn Unidragon made with Beechwood Smoked malt, which adds a natural meaty note (there is no actual meat in the brew). Aged 100% in bourbon barrels. Little piggies run, squeal to the heavens: Clown Shoes wishes you luck.

Bottle. Deep opaque brown-black body, thin head/ring. Potent, inky nose with lots of roasty booze, ashy coffee beans, chocolate, and sharp smoky wood. Sharp, boozy body, the alcohol prickly on the tongue and in the nose; lots of coffee, roast, and burnt sugars, with a huge, difficult tannic bitter finish. Lots of vanilla from the bourbon aging. Over-the-top and harsh, a weird one to review.

27 sept 2013, bottle. Dark brown/black. Nose is licorice, burnt toast, mild alcohol. Med/full body and moderately fizzy. Spicy, sugary, molasses, burnt toast, chocolate milk powder. Awesome! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Oh wow. This thing is a beast. Super dark chocolate and Kahlua aromatics. The alcohol really comes throung and makes it feel a lot heavier. A bit or earthy coffee and some anise tones come out after sipping on it for a bit.

UPDATED: SEP 22, 2013 The aroma is chocolate, licorice, salty, meaty, like bacon. The appearance is deep black, tan head. The flavor is chocolate, smoked meat, licorice. The finish is roasts, boozy, salty. Medium/thick in body. Very, very good. The smoked malts don’t give the beer a smoky quality, more of a bacon/smoked meat quality. The smoke is nice and subtle. Similarly, the barrel aging adds a nice subtle booze flavor, not overwhelming at all.

Dark black in color with a tan head. Smoked chocolate cake. Rich dark roasty and smokey...like chocolate cake with a boozy edge and defined smokiness (but not too much).

Pours basically black with a small head and some lacing on the glass. v
The aroma is spicy, peppery, with some chocolate, some booziness, some coffee and good deal of sweetness. Sort of good, sort of not... hard to pinpoint really.

The flavor is rich & bourbon-y, some smokiness, some coffee, nicely sweet and chocolaty, nicely bitter, really boozy.... kind of cool.

Fun label, fun beer... had fun while I was drinking it.... real chill.

On tap @ Haven Gastropub. Black in color with a small tan head. Somewhat smokey, but a decent bourbon and vanilla sweetness. Ash, roast, and coffee. Cocoa powder, earth, and a slight meatiness. The flavor is also moderately smokey, but not overwhelming. Bourbon, vanilla, roast, and earth. Cocoa powder, coffee, and some savory/meaty notes.

Bottle. Pours black with very little head into snifter. Nose is big bourbon, pepper, licorice. Mouthfeel is full, malty. Taste is all bourbon up front which gives way to smoky, malty, licorice, some subtle barrel notes occasionally, bitter chocolate. Finish is quite boozy. Has several layers which reveal themselves in stages, but the bourbon dominates. At 12.5% it is quite strong and there’s no hiding it. Would be interesting to see what some age does to it. If you know what you’re getting into, this is one heck of a beer. Great.

22. Pours jet black with a dense and creamy dark tan head that does not last. Big roasty sweet nose, classic combo of dark roasty malts with some sweet dark chocolate and cocoa. There’s some smoky campfire in the background, and well-integrated sweetness from the bourbon. Creamy thick body with soft carb. Roasty dark mid palate with earthy smoke and apricot bourbony notes knocking around. Long dry smoky roasty finish.

22 oz. bottle. Pours near black with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate, bourbon, some vanilla and oak. Flavor is rich, bitter, lots of chocolate and bourbon notes, some vanilla and coffee. Medium bodied, finishes bitter. Solid, unassuming, but middle of the road imperial stout.
