22oz bottle, shared by b3shine. Very dark brown color, near black. Thin khaki / light brown head. Leaves couple bits and short ropes of lace. Awesome nose. Dark chocolate, light spice, moderate roast. Bigger body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Lightly soft. Lightly dry finish. Not too chewy, still respectably smooth, though. Brownine in the flavor, roast, light coffee, dark chocolate. Moderate sweet, bigger bitter taste. Light bite in the finish, but not too hot. Pretty good barrel-aged imperial stout.

Bomber to snifter (shared by me with the group). Looks good; a fairly opaque cola with beige lacing. Smells good too; dark malt, smoke, chocolate, and bourbon. Tastes like it smells, but a little less robust. Nice and smooth on the palate. Good beer.

#7,001 for the King of Krambone!, and gets me off that round even number as you all know I hate. I crave ODD numbers, punks! Pours super thick and rich with minimal tan head. Nose is peaty smoked malt, Tastes of roasty charred choc malt, hops, oaky bourbon coffee. Finishes smooth for a beer this big.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours inky black with a frothy tan head that hangs in there for a while. Copious lacing. Aroma is bourbon, dark-roasted (almost burnt) malt, and coffee, with hints of dark chocolate, leather, and tobacco. Flavor is dark sweetness with a backbone of hoppy bitterness that is prominent especially in the aftertaste. Full bodied, although a bit thinner than I expected; moderate carbonation. Luscious, tasty brew!

Bottled on 10/11/12, poured into a snifter. Pours jet black, minimal head with very little lacing. Thin pour, nose is bourbon and vanilla...a little bit of smoke. Bourbon is very muted. Medium heavy carbonation, pretty hot alcohol burn! This is a nice beer.

this Impy had a black-brown pour and made a one finger tan bubbled head that receded to a thin cover and thick ring,
the glass had nice spots and fingers of lacing, and the bottom of the bottle had a ring of dark sediment at the edge of the bottle,
it had aromas of roasted malt, chocolate, faint coffee and caramel, some bourbon alcohol and sweetness, molasses sweetness, and faint earth notes,
the flavors were roasted malt and roasted malt bitterness, coffee, some chocolate, molasses and caramel, a little bourbon flavor,
the finish had malt bitterness (somewhat astringent) and alcohol spike,
the mouth feel was pretty thick and it was a little creamy, some alcohol warmed on the palate,
it was a nice Imperial Stout with more bitterness (and astringency) than I prefer in a Impy drink, less bitterness would help me to enjoy it.
