Bottle pours black with one finger brief brown head, nice lacing. Aroma malts, roast, bourbon. Taste dark malts with chocolate, roast, smoke and bourbon. Thick mouhtfeel with a hint of powderiness and nice alcohol burn. Brief roast finish. I enjoyed this, didnít feel there was too much bourbon, really pretty well balanced.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
pours black with a creamy brown head, moderately long retention and slight lacing. very sweet. strong dark fruit again: raisins and dates. lots of oak, chocolate, caramel, vanilla, smoke. very strong bourbon, big alcohol presence. very sweet, medium-heavy bitter, umami. full body, thick and creamy feel. soft carb. very hot. finishes strongly boozy. bourbon is a bit strong for my tastes, but thatís sort of the entire point, isnít it?

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark brown/black with a slight dark tan head that left rapidly. Huge chocolate aroma with hints of bourbon and smoke. Full bodied - really. Flavor starts alcohol/bourbon moving on to musty chocolate with smoke and light spice. Lots of flavor in the finish. Finishes as the flavors with an additional musty/woody tone. Mind bending flavor assortment.

Bomber from Imbibe Wine. Nose is chocolate, vanilla, oak, and a hint of smoke. Black with a medium tan head which dissipates quickly. Flavor is lightly sweet, smoky beef jerky with some white pepper, chocolate, and a hint of bitter . Finishes with light alcohol. Nose is not very strong, but it tastes great.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Black, with a cream-colored head. The aroma is amazing... like a cross between
cherries, wooden clogs, funnel cakes, a mocha coffee, and sugar cookie dough. I
love it! The flavor is more or less the same, but with more of a roasted malt
bitterness. Alcohol sticks its butt out. Itís almost numbing. Itís time to admit
that the Bourbon barrels have really blended well with the beer. Itís not in-the-
face with Bourbon (like most Bourbon-barrel beers are), and it definitely shows
its perfect balance of ingredients strictly by its ability to pull off the very furious
resulting flavor. Good job!

Love the balance of aromas and flavors -- chocolate, coffee, toffee, vanilla, smoke and oak. Delish.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Khyber Pass. Snifter. Oily black pour with a tan head. Runny lace. Very sweet black malt flavors. Coffee. Chocolate. Charcoal grill. Rotted red fruit. Beachwood smoke. Vanilla bourbon. Caramel covered cinders. Heady alcohol barrel flavors are overpowering. This brew is big but the mix is off. Needs to find a better balance between these strong components. Right now feels like a one two sucker punk, when it should be a subtler knockdown. This could be a brilliant beer if more work was put into it. Right now it is too unpurposefully harsh and conflictive to recommend. Please refine this beer!
