FROTHINGSLOSH (6717) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 13, 2016
Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a dark nut brown color with orange highlights and a medium sized creamy beige-white head that left good lacing. The aroma was toffee, nut, raisin and plum. The flavor was nutty and malty with toffee, a boozy presence, dark fruits and faint golden fruits. Booziness grows but works well. Long finish. Medium body. pretty tasty.

Pours a very dark brown with a medium foamy off white head. Aromas of milk chocolate, lactose, brown sugar, vanilla, roasted malt, roasted nuts. Taste is roasted and slightly sweet with a medium caramel backbone. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation.

Plovmand (7849) - Helsinge, DENMARK - FEB 16, 2016
Bottle at home. Its a deep amber beer with a medium off white head. Loads of biscuit toasty malty aroma notes with caramel and nutty side notes. Mainly caramel malty flavor with sweet nutty notes leading to a sweet malty finish. Only light hoppy notes. It lacks complexity but is well made overall.

halfonit (1324) - Fall River, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 12, 2016
Bottled 10/22/14. Pours a slightly cloudy deep and dark golden amber color. Aroma is of yeast, malts, cloves, fig, dark fruits, and some subtle booziness. Nice and heavy palate with just the right amount of carbonation. Flavor is of dark fruit, yeast, malts, clove and a hint of moss scotch. Leaves a sweeter dark fruit finish. Wow. Another great beer from Clown Shoes.

Poured into a snifter. 3.0 A: Hazy medium brown color. One finger of frothy beige head. Retention is poor and just a wisp or two of lacing is left. 4.0 S: Lots of brown sugar in this. Toasty malts, dark fruits, plum, raisin. Sugary sweetness. Light nuttiness to finish things off. Very nice. 3.5 T: Like the nose. Toasted malts, brown sugar, raisin, plum are the main flavors. Not as sweet as the nose, but still sweet overall. Bit of peat as well. 3.75 M: Heavier body. Good moderate carbonation. Reasonably creamy and super smooth. 3.75 D: Good beer. Big strong focused flavors. ★ 604 characters DavoleBomb, Feb 13, 2015

Oh malty goodness. Pours a murky dark amber with nonexistent head. Aroma is rich malt, bread, dark fruits, a slight sweetness, and some booze. Flavor is almost a direct translation of the smell, though not as boozy as Id expected. Finish is sweet, and slightly cloying. Which I like. Good stuff... must go get more if it was a one-timer!
