The aroma is caramel, a little hop, some raisin. Pours a dark copper/brown with off white head mostly diminishing, good lacing. The taste is a little sweet. The body is medium, the texture creamy, the carbonation soft and the finish long. Very Good!

patricks110 (1937) - Alberta, CANADA - APR 16, 2015
Dark brown pour with a few amber highlights. The head is puffy to start but subsides quickly, light beige colour. The aroma is malty with nutty notes, cocoa, woody and earthen notes, toffee, caramel and scotch notes. Rich and robust with a heavy body, hard malt profile. Very rich finish with a warm boozy note. Not hoppy but a light bitterness on the finish.

650ml bottle pours amber brown in color with a finger of light tan head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is dark fruits with some caramel and peaty notes. Taste is a caramel and dark fruity malt sweetness with a herbal and grassy hop bitterness finishing with some peaty notes. Medium bodied with decent carbonation. Overall, a solid scotch ale which is well balanced and tasty.

22 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a dark brown to amber color. Khaki head of foam. The aroma has big raisin and prune. Nice sweet taste as well. Reminds me of a well aged barley wine. Big body and moderate carbonation.

Notes from the Scotch Ale tasting for St Patricks Day. Pours orangey-brown with a beige head. Aroma is fruity with a bit of phenol, and some toffee. Taste has sweet fruit, earth, peat and sugar. Decent, and finished in the mid ranks of the competition, ahead of Founders Dirty Bastard.

22 oz bomber pours a transparent reddish brown, modest beige head fades rapidly. Smells of toffee, dark fruit, some roasted malts. Itís a bit sweet, rather thin with nice carbonation, but it all ends rather quickly. This is the first beer Iíve had from this brewery and overall itís a pretty solid brew. I will look for something else from them.
