dmac (4199) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - DEC 13, 2014
Poured a muddy super deep amber/brown body with a smaller foamy light beige head. Aroma is lots of green veggies, amber malts, caramel, earth. Body is lively, tight carbonation with a dry finish. Flavor better than the aroma but not saying much, old caramel, amber malts, bad bread, alcohol. Meh not good and one of the worst I’ve had from CS. Boo

Another tasty Clown Shoes release. Pours murky amber with a big foamy head. Sweet and a bit burnt, like the caramelized sugar crust on a Crème brûlée.

Dark amber pour with thin white head. Taste is sweet caramel and molasses. Alcohol in the background. A hint of roast. Mouthfeel is smooth and silky with a hint of alcohol. Very drinkable scotch ale.

bobaidan (516) - Southington, Connecticut, USA - NOV 22, 2014
Pours dark but translucent brown with a very small head. Aroma is a bit off with some cardboard. Medium to thick in body with light carbonation. LucKily the off aroma is not present in the flavor. Alcohol is surprisingly up front Ib the flavor profile, malty sweetness, a bit of hop bite and a hint of cherry round this one out.

Bomber: Aroma of caramel, bready, roasted nuts, lightly grassy hop notes in the backing and a bit of raisin notes. Appearance is a clear amber/brownish with a thick lightly tan head that diminishes slowly. Taste is got the malt notes coming to the forefront lightly sweet, caramel, with light alcohol burn in the backing. Palate medium carbonation with a lightly bitter aftertaste. Overall, Decent stuff. Cheers!

Bomber@ neighbors trailer. Clear mahogany color with ivory head. Earthy floral, herbal vegetal, dark caramel aromas. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Caramel, earthy dirt, herbal, floral heather (I presume) flavors____tangy earthy finish----the 10% abv is well cloaked---good front yard fire pit sippin’ brew.

Bomber from Savor Growl. Brown pour with light tan head. Aroma of sweet malt, toasty, nutty. Tastes are nutty, dark fruit, caramel sweet. Balanced well enough, though not to my tastes.

Pours mahogany into a thistle. Off-white head with good retention recedes leaving trailing sheets. Mild caramel and toasty booze aromas. Thick with metallic nuts and caramel upfront turning sweet in the lasting toffee finish.

On tap at Joe Canals West Deptford.
Appearance: Super hazy chestnut hued body with a creamy light tan head.
Aroma: The aroma is sweet with cherries and grape, medicinal hints, and a bready, toasty, slightly burnt caramel aroma. A bit mild once it’s settled and leans fruity.
Taste: Big flavors all mesh together. Fig and cherry with caramel, bread and a hint of booze on the finish. Slight burnt toast finish with caramel and raisin.
Palate: Full-bodied with light carbonation.
Overall: This is a nice scotch ale, big and bold, though not as refined as something like Old Chub. A solid beer nonetheless and worth trying if you like the style.
