UPDATED: OCT 3, 2014 Very malty aroma leads into a boozy malty vaguely bitter flavor. I find the flavors rather harsh and overly boozy. Where are the hops???

Earthy, citrus, sweet aroma. Thick cloudy honey gold with a foamy white head that fades at a moderate rate leaving quite a bit of lacing. Thick Edgy mouthfeel. Citrusy (lemon?). Lots of malt. Stark bitterness and then a mellowing warmth on the finish.

Bottle. Completely clear Golden color. Tiny White head! Hoppy Nose with a Slighty sour note. Taste is good, with a little less fruit than expected from the hops. Medium body, average carbonation.

Appearance: lightly hazed amber orange, with a thick finger of light yellow head and some minimal lacing. Aroma: big bright nose of citrus, with some pungent, slightly catty notes and pine. Taste: apricot, grapefruit, blood orange, resin and pine, a slight cheesy note, and some caramel and vanilla. Finish: lingering dry bitterness, with citrus and light caramel. Notes: Pretty typical double IPA. Not my favorite style, but clearly well-executed. Bottle from Sarah for Beerthday 2015.

Pours a cloudy deep amber with a two finger off white head. Aroma of citrus fruits, dank hops and caramel malt. Taste is very strong with a thick mouth feel. Lots of grapefruit and bitterness. The sweet malt backbone almost becomes too much though. Overall really good.

Pours a clear amber with a tall, frothy light tan head that sticks around pretty well, leaving decent lace behind. Smells like candied oranges and some mildly bitter grapefruit. Lightly pungent but not harsh.Big hop flavors up front. Wow, way stronger than the aroma gave away. Very interesting flavors. Lots of citrus everywhere. It really reminds me of candied oranges. There is a lot of sweet tropical fruit in there too. Maybe even melons too? Get some resinous spiciness mixed in, especially in the middle. Bready malt in the finish barely tries to balance it out. Nice strong waves of bitterness in the finish. Medium-heavy mouthfeel, surprisingly smooth.Overall itís a big, bold IIPA itís somehow surprisingly smooth and balanced. Very tasty and drinkable, just could be my favorite from Clown Shoes.

Pours out a nice slightly hazy golden color with a moderate fluffy white head. Aroma is of nice juicy citrus hops, light tropical notes, orange peel and some moderate alcohol. Taste is complex, nice hop profile, juicy citrus fruit, some light alcohol, sweet grain and a nice bitter hoppy finish. Really tasty. Clown shoes is making some great stuff.

Smell of floral, sweet cream soda, hop, orange yellow with thick white crown, typical bitter IPA, slight sweet, balanced hop malt, slightly slimy, above average IPA

Pours a clarified amber with a tan head that dissipates quickly leaving leavings on the edge of the glass. The aroma is subtle hop with a nose of maltiness. The taste is a rich malt with a subtle citrus aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From Brewcraft. Drank the night before Matt left for a month. Cloudy orange-beige pour. Off-white head with big, thick bubbles. Huge foamy lacing. Smells of musty malt, pear, overripe apple, orange, banana, spice, honey/caramel, booze. Stops just short of smelling unfresh. Tastes of dry resinous hop, lemony spice, light grass and caramel malt. Medium bodied, slick, lemony, resinous, spicy frothier finish. Malty spicy nose, resinous lemony taste. Quite a big beer.

Bottle from Brewcraft at home. Slightly hazy golden amber pour sticky thin white head. Aroma is fruity hops and boozy burn, with cereal maltiness. Taste is big boozy bitterness. A bit musty in the hops but not bad, just maybe not fresh. Really big flavor - good. But a bit skewed in one direction. Rich malty taste and body too. Too much. Solid DIPA.
