Pretty well-balanced. Not too much aroma though. Some slight pine and citrus notes. Peasant until you focus on the finish. I want to call this a rubber aftertaste. I know from experience that this can be a yest off-flavor although I have only experienced it during propagation stage.

Amber-red pour with nice head and lacing. Mild citrus (grapefuit?) with ample hops. Darker than most IPAs. Very nice.

Pours a very hazy orange with a thick off white head. Really nice aroma of peach, citrus, and floral hops. Nice bitterness off the bat. Taste is piney hops but then there is something very off putting in the finish that I can’t quite describe. Its a shame because everything about this is really good.

Tampa, FL - Total Wine - 22 oz bomber. Slightly murky, medium copper pour, trace of lacing. Fresh spruce aroma. Flavor is fresh and pungent, lip smacking taste bud numbing grapefruit citrus flavor - textbook IPA. Has a bit of a vacant backend after the onslaught of hops. Sticky mouthfeel.

Bottled 12/11. 22 oz bottle in a duvel tulip. Pours a slightly hazy copper orange. 1 finger of thick white head with average lacing. Aroma is dank hops. Pine, resin, grapefruit, and a bready maltiness really show strong. Flavor is close to aroma. A very piney, resinous bite mixes with a caramel, toffee malt back. Mouthfeel is fairly chewy and the pine and sour citrus flavors linger. Alcohol is hidden nicely. Overall a good session ipa.

Bottle pours cloudy dark amber with an off white head that is think and lasts. Lacing is noted. Aromas are caramel and pine with some bread. Taste is caramel, dank pine and some wet leaves. Overall, and OK IPA, but many are better.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Whole Foods-Columbus Circle, 3/19/12

Aroma: The nose is fairly dry, with some orange/grapefruit notes, and a little caramel
Appearance: Pours an unclear bright orange color with a small white head and mid-heavy lacing
Flavor: The taste is fairly bitter, with a light sweetness from the citrus fruits and the caramel malts
Palate: The body is medium, it has a soft carbonation, a long, dry finish, and the alcohol is well hidden
Overall Impression: This one is my 200th IPA rating, by far my most of any one style. Anyway, as for the beer, this is a well-made, fairly straight forward IPA. There isn’t a huge resiny citrus bouquet or anything, but the flavor is pretty solid, and the hop bitterness is rather good as well. This one is nicely done.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber color with a huge off white head. Head lasts and lasts and leaves heavy lacing. Nose is big resiny hops, pine, sweet caramel malts. Palate is smooth and full. Nice texture, chewy, heavy film on tongue. Flavors of resin and piney hops, caramel malts, some earthy tones.

22oz bottle from Binny’s Downtown. Pours a cloudy, deep orange-copper colored body with a finger-width, dense, frothy and creamy, beige head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is sweet oranges and dank grapefruits with some resiny pines and a sweet caramel backing. A light bread, some toffee, and a few tropical fruits. Flavor is similar. A nice mix between sweet oranges and dank grapefruits with a resiny pine up front before a sweeter caramel and light toffee-bread malt comes in to balance, but still allows the hops to maintain the focus. Pines pick it up towards the end with some dank earth and resins as this finishes dry and bitter with enough of a malt backing to balance. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a moderate carbonation. Overall, a solid IPA. Easy drinking, well balanced, and full of flavor. I like the mix of sweet and dank hops balanced with a nice caramel, toffee-bread malt backing. Enjoyable beer.
