A light-medium amber brew. Big frothy head out of the bottle. Nice floral hop aromas. Flavor is super hoppy, with a bit of nutty malts. Very bitter on the backside. Some bitter grapefruit and evergreen notes. Light lingering sweetness, but otherwise very bittering. 8 percent is well hidden.

Deep rich amber coloured body with a copper glow and almost a ruby tint with a nice three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of fresh piney and grapefruity hops with a nice malt backbone and some fresh sweetness. Medium to Full-bodied; Chewy piney and resiny hops noticeable up front with a good bitterness, some nice alcohol notes, a bunch of herbal flavours and a fully supported malt flavour. Aftertaste shows a lot of hop bitterness, some resin flavours, a lot of herbal characteristics and some good deep complexity for an IPA. Overall, a nice IPA, definitely one worth searching for, and sample it if you can find it. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Total Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 23-May-2012 for US$5.99 sampled at home in Upstate New York on 27-May-2012.

Gold pour, 1 finger of head. Aroma of caramel malt, some lemon hops - sweet, almost like a lemon candy. Lighter-coloured citrus fruits up front (lemon) bitter with sweet malt coming through - almost like a cross between an IPA and old ale. Good carbonatin, medium body.

Medium yellow coloured body, leaving lace. Fresh from Rhode Island. The malting could have been better. Boozy finish.

Clear amber with white head. Big resinous hops in aroma. Heavy on malt, nicely balanced with resinous hop of pine and citrus. Sticky mouthfeel but I really like this, underrated.

650ml bottle. Clear dark golden to amber colour with average frothy lacing white head. Resinous hoppy aroma. Slightly sweet malty basis counterbalanced by dry and bitter hop, lasting bitter hoppy finish.

22oz bomber pours hazy copper with orange juice hues and a somewhat weak off white head of foam. The mild aroma offers up some spicy hop notes, some pine hops, hints of citrus and then cinnamon and a dash of black pepper. The taste has a good deal of hops that are spicy, earthy and then even a bigger does of pine hops toward midway. The bitter and flavor hops are at about equal strength adding a pleasing rounded hop balance. Around the edges of the flavor I get increasing levels of grapefruit into the finish. Tasty stuff.

Bottle from Olbutikken. Clear amber beer. Good cream coloured head. Light palate, dry. Robust malt, a little raw - grainy and dry. Gives way to to bitter pine hops with a bitter orange marmalade undertone. Finishes dry and minerally with moderate bitter linger. Not the most joined up of IPAs - a bit clunky. But ultimately okay.
