Nice amber red color. Slightly hoppy amber lager which gives it a nice twist. Very session able. Nice dryness on the back end. Best Clown Shoes beer I have tried.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
A very nice amber beer, with a hoppy nature. A bit thin on the tongue is the only bad thing. But actually an excellent beer. Sweet and hoppy. Hoppy aroma, and all in all very balanced. A very excellent beer.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottled August 21, 2014.
Glass: Dogfish Head signature glass.
Appearance: Clear reddish amber body with a tall and frothy light tan head. It’s a beautiful looking beer.
Aroma: Hints of bready and caramel malts with a matching orange, grapefruit, mango and pine hop aroma. Really nicely balanced and very pleasant.
Taste: Wow! Sweet bready and caramel malts are slightly outmatched by a mild bitterness and big hop flavor of pine, mango, orange, and that dank Simcoe finish. This is quaffable as fuck, I’d drink it every day after work.
Palate: Medium bodied, moderate to highly carbonated.
Overall: Stellar fucking beer. This is infinitely quaffable. I love the mild hop skew here to an otherwise excellent Vienna lager. The price is right too. Well done.

From Bottle Shop. Pours a very cloudy amber-brown with wet bubbly off-white head and legs. Smells of sweet nutty malt, wet grass, juicy hop. Tastes crisp but not sharp - body is where this seems like a red lager and not a red ale. Sharp acidity/spice with piney hop. Less malt than in the aroma. Looks and smells terrific; taste is good and drinkable but less interesting. Would get again.

Bottle from Bottle Shop at home. Opaque dark amber pour. Thin foamy head. Lager-y juicy hops aroma with a bit of nutty maltiness. Really interesting flavors - great juicy citrus hops (Simcoe?), citrus bitterness, mild nutty finish. Really enjoyable.

Pours cloudy amber with a huge tan head.
Caramel, tea-leaf aroma.
Earthy, leafy hops and caramel taste.
Slightly medicinal bitter alongside earthy hops.
Ok....but not overly memorable.
