Like a stamp on a tramp, this beer is about not so subtle seduction. Soft but complex malts, Chambly yeast, sweet orange peel, Columbus, Amarillo, and Centennial hops have merged to create a bodacious Belgian IPA.

bottle thnx to Filip from Het Nest brewery. Pours dark yellow, small white head. Smell is tropical fruited, hopped, bitter. Sweet, some honeynotes as well as fruity aspects.

A 12 fl oz bottle with a bottled on date of 23rd March 2015 and poured into a Duvel tulip glass. It poured a slightly hazy dark amber orange colour with a thick almost two finger off white head that has great retention and leaves thick foamy lacing. With aromas, first thing that comes to mind is Tropicana orange juice. It is strong orange juice with hints of caramel malts, citrus orange zest, grapefruit and lemon. Taste is citrus orange peel which hits you upfront followed by grapefruit, pine, caramel malts and some kind of funk (in a good way). Medium bodied with high tingly carbonation. Admittedly, this is my first Belgian IPA, and its interesting and decent, but there is just way too much orange in this for me.

Bottle @ home. Clear orange golden color, medium to full sized off-white to beige head. Aroma is malts, resinous hops. Taste malts, hops, resinous hops, bitter hops, slightly fruitpeel. Medium body, average carbonation.

355 ml bottle. Pours a beautiful cloudy orange colour with a small white head. Aroma is a nice balance between hops and malt, citrus. Taste has a bit too much orange zest for my taste. Very complex and interesting in the mouth.

Impressive ’Belgian’ aroma in an Amber pour. Taste is impressively ’Belgian’ too with a nice balance between hops and malt. An ’American’ take on the style - that maybe lacks a little of the subtle complexity of the masters.

From the very old notes, hence this is not a real rating, but more just a mark to myself that I have tried this at one point. Decent hoppy-soapy (I guess it’s the Belgian yeast) brew.

It smells nice and fresh by little apricot and orange peel and hops. The taste is slightly sweet fruit, while hops is lurking a little in the background. Hops behaves more like a fountain from which overturns a veritable cascade of hops notes out in the mouth. Lovely fruity hops with semi-dry aftertaste. Very delicious IPA.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle. Appearance is hazy gold to amber, creamy foam. Aroma is toast, fruit and melon, slight yeast. Taste is melon flavors with a hint of citrus. Palate is medium carbonation, soft in the mouth, creamy. Pretty decent.

I got this in a 4-pack box pf 355 mL bottles. It poured a soft sunset colour into my glass with a thin head. Bubbly, but not overly so. The aroma was of lychee and sweet tropical candy. The taste was subtle, with well rounded malt notes and a complex bitterness from the hops. The yeast definitely lent itself to this beer. I enjoyed it, but didn’t really taste the "Belgian-ness" of this one. Still, would drink this again.
