3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled on 29 April 2013, this 12 oz bottle was poured into a Belgian snifter.
Appearance: Body is hazy, orange-brown in color with a small head that soon reduces to little more than a ring. Lacing is on the light side. Some sediment coats the bottom of the bottle even after a full pour.
Smell: Hops are prominent and contribute both herbal and citrus qualities, but some Belgian yeast and a solid bready malt base are also apparent.
Taste: Lower end of the hoppy spectrum for an IPA. Fruity, but towards the lower end of the fruity spectrum for a BPA, and less fruity than the aroma suggests. Nutty; mildly bitter and tart; a trace of yeasty funk. Well integrated and balanced yet has moderately high complexity.
Feel: Medium-light bodied with crisp moderate carbonation. Dry finish.
Overall: Should appeal to anyone who likes the idea of a hoppy Belgian Pale Ale.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hoppy grapefruit/citrus aroma. Slightly hazy orange with a off white head. Good flavor, strongly bitter but with turns malty, leaves a long citrus aftertaste.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Very intrigued by the description of "Belgian-style IPA." This pours a golden amber color with a foamy beige head. There is a mixture of citrus and hops in the aroma. The taste starts out as a yeasty/banana Belgian ale but finishes with that classic IPA bitterness. Very interesting and well made.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aromas of bread, caramel, citrus and flowers. It poured a dark amber color with only thin film of head. The taste was moderately sweet and moderately bitter, pretty balanced. Medium bodied. Wasn’t special in any way but overall good.

cloudy amber, large tan head with long retention and good lacing. citrus, flowers, caramel, yeast, funk, orange. absolutely delivers on the "belgian" part of the belgian ipa, unlike many others. medium sweet, medium bitter. medium body, creamy feel, lively carb.

Mildly yeasty aroma w some hint of Belgian yeast. Taste is a little mild on bitterness but is pleasant without off flavors. Lots of sediment.

Perfect mostly opaque copper color with a good beige head and lacing. Nose has fruits like orange some floral notes. Initial good carbonation with lots of floral hops throughout, a bit of spice. Not much bitterness, great malt background, very well balanced IPA. Some hints of resin. Great take on the style.
