Like a stamp on a tramp, this beer is about not so subtle seduction. Soft but complex malts, Chambly yeast, sweet orange peel, Columbus, Amarillo, and Centennial hops have merged to create a bodacious Belgian IPA.

Fridge temp out of the bottle is a little harsh. I get way too much booze for 7%. By the second half of the bomber it warms up and gets quite enjoyable. Nice balance of citrus hops and belgian ester tang. The yeast gives it a little creaminess.

Very fruity, with a sweet hop taste. Not too bitter, and has a nice scent to it. wouldn’t ever think of it as being great but it is very good. Just isn’t one that you would think of as too special.

Pours fairly frothy amber to gold colour. Yeasty belgian goodness blend with citrus and pine cones very well in this brew, almost has a spruce character. Decent length, pine cones and bitterness from the hops, some sweetness from the yeast and again a bit of spruce. Very refreshing.

12 oz bottle. Pours an orange/amber with moderate head. Aromas of sweet malts, toffee, dough, and light pine. Flavors of Belgian yeast, sweet oranges, light pine, and toasted malts. Nice enough though nothing really special.

So the English IPA style was co-opted by the Americans, who created something entirely new. and wildly successful. This style has apparently been adopted by at least a few Belgian breweries, putting their yeasty fingers all over it. Thus the present (and many more) entries into the new category, Belgian Style IPA. I suppose enough has been said about the branding of this particular product, which is evidently aimed at that clientele which tosses its Bud Light bottles out of the pickup truck window, and so I will defer further comment. Then there’s the beer. Consumed from a Stella glass, it was refreshing, rewarding, yeasty, smooth... surprised the shit out of me as it is pretty damn good. Too bad they can’t manage to produce it at anywhere near a market price. God, I hate 4 packs! Here’s some gushing praise from a BA fan... "Tramp Stamp has a glimmering look of golden copper, topped with a tall, fizzy white head. A deliciously sweet aroma delights my nose with apricot, grapefruit, and honeysuckle aspects to it. The flavor ultimately boils down to exactly what it sets out to achieve: an accessible and harmonious marriage of an American IPA and a Belgian Golden Ale. I never thought it could be possible to make hallmarks of a Belgian beer for the general beer lover. I have always imagined myself as unique in falling in love with strong flavors of Belgian yeast and fruit esters as a gateway to good beer. It seems like an acquired taste, second to the more approachable IPAs. But this beer combines the two effortlessly, and it goes down nice and easy. " What he said.

12oz bottle. Very nice Belgian IPA. Quite yeasty and sweet, but still enjoyable.

Bottle from Brew Topia. Bright clear copper with dense lasting head and lace. Lovely lemon pastry mild spice and floral aroma. Mild tropical fruit sweetness with just a touch of toasted biscuits and medium assertive orange rind bitterness and spicy yeasty finish. Medium body lively carbo accentuates hops. Wicked refreshing and dank and yeasty. Excellent. Love this style hybrid and this is one of the good ones.

12 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy bright orange with a fairly large white head. Nose brings out a mix of Belgian yeast, orange peel, and piney hops - well-balanced on the nose. Flavour is similar, with floral hops, Belgian yeast and light orange peel upfront in good balance. Finishes on soapy, floral notes, with the yeasty notes also prominent. Yeastiness becomes a bit much for me towards the end. Still pretty good, but not really my thing.

Nice rich, dense C-hop aroma, sweet and together. Flavors were rich and clean too. This is definitely one of those IPAs that should probably just be a Double IPA, by adding a little more gravity, because it’s already pretty sweet. I love the flavors that come out of this beer, but I could never drink much of it. I do think the yeast and orange muddle a little bit.
