COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In a world full of uncertainty, hardship, and people trying to hold us back, do we need the undead and trademark attorneys too? Clown Shoes says, "No, die, monsters, die!" Forces of darkness brought about a change in the name of this beer, which was released to celebrate our second anniversary, but it still sports signature dark malts, holy water, and malt smoked locally with hickory and ash.

12 oz bomber pours a thick inky black with a huge light brown head that fades quickly leaving some nice lacing on the glass. Heavy cocoa aroma upfront and a hint of coffee. Taste of cocoa, coffee and dark fruit. Fig? This brew is thick and chewy, not much carbonation after the pour. Very smooth finish. ABV is well hidden, making it deceptively drinkable. This is one of the really ones!

"Vampire Slayer" bomber purchased at Beverage Warehouse a full two years ago while on a business trip to Los Angeles ($8.95). Pours mostly black with brown around the edges and only a half finger of creamy tan-brown foam. AROMA of heavy roasted malt, black coffee, candied pecans, some campfire BBQ, and dark chocolate. FLAVOR of dry-ish dark roasted malts, cocoa, creamy coffee, moderate smoke, and a little bit of dark fruit to finish it off. Finishes with a nice level of sweetness along with the dark malt and mild smoke profiles. The 10% is utterly concealed and this is really surprisingly quaffable. (576, 963)

Pours an impenetrable black with a thin, tan head that fades but leaves some lacing. Aroma is mostly cocoa. Lots more cocoa on the palate, leading to strong, black coffee, which is complemented with the very light hand of smoked malts, such that the beer does not really taste smoky, but has just enough of that quality to add nicely to the mocha ensemble. Finishes dry and with a faint whisper of tropical fruit, and incredibly palatable and easy-drinking for 10%. Look out, grandma.

Dark brown, almost black pour with large frothy tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, faint coffee and faint smoke. Taste of roasted malts, faint coffee, chocolate fudge and very faint smoke. Full bodied, creamy mouthfeel, medium carbonation, perfectly balanced, mild hops on the finish. Very good imperial stout!

Dead black pour with a quickly dissipating head that was a light brown. Aroma is a milk, dark chocolate, sugar, malts, and light light coffe and caramel. Such a smooth beer. I feel like i get a slight ashy smokey flavor that does a good job of taking away from the bitterness you get from the dark chocolate taste. Smooth and creamy. Medium light carbed. Reminds me a lot of some really good cigar city stputs Ive had. Good beer.

Pours black with a thick foamy caramel head. Aroma is sweet with notes of pecan, malt and a twinge of alcohol. Taste is full of chocolate with some nice bitterness on the tongue with a good bite on the backend. There’s a good bit of roasted malt and chocolate in the mouth. This is a really good stout.

[2/13/15] Draught at Rogue Ales Public House in San Francisco. Black with a brown head. Aroma of roast and salty licorice. Flavor is quite sweet with a bit of coffee, a bit of chocolate, a bit of licorice and a bitterish finish. Quite full-bodied.
