COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In a world full of uncertainty, hardship, and people trying to hold us back, do we need the undead and trademark attorneys too? Clown Shoes says, "No, die, monsters, die!" Forces of darkness brought about a change in the name of this beer, which was released to celebrate our second anniversary, but it still sports signature dark malts, holy water, and malt smoked locally with hickory and ash.

Holy dark malts batcave dwellers. Deep dark chocolate brown with lush, orange-hued tan head. It’s slick, glossy, a rather sparse ring of lace is left after it subsides. Aromas of dark chocolate, booze, vanilla, caramel, a bit of dark dried fruit. The taste is smooth, dark chocolate bitterness with rich caramel and some whisky. Full palate, mostly slick, adequate carb on the soft side and a slightly powdery finish. It holds up well as it warms but the doesn’t seem to open up much more.

April 16th, 2014 - Now called the Undead Party Slayer, Clown Shoes’ Vampire Slayer is a stout that grabs the drinker by the nose and tongue and refuses to let go. It pulls and pushes and swerves side to side, dragging the drinker along - a beer drinking version of the tail wagging the dog. Sweet with light coffee and cream, the smell has enough complexity there to warrant a high score, but it gets better with a little warmth. Closer to room temperature I also catch a light dribble of molasses, and an unctuous peat scent that binds the whole bouquet together. The flavor is similarly sweet, and more brash with the molasses drizzle, but mixing in some chocolate syrup and dark, bitter chocolate for an extra layer of depth and balance. Sweet, sudsy, and a sturdy body, this is ab absolute winner in the dark beer spectrum, and a great reason to shell out for a little luxury and pick up more of the Clown Shoes series.

Black black body with about a quarter inch tan head of small to medium brown bubbles. Aroma of plums ,raisins, roasty malts, some caramel, and chocolate. Flavors of plums, licorice, hints of chocolate, and honey. Very smooth but with a bit of alcohol heat at the finish.
