4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
This beer is labelled as "Vampire Slayer" around these parts. The palate is rich yet smooth. The chocolate notes stood out to me more than anything else, but there is also plenty of roasted and smoked malt. Not cloying or harsh whatsoever, just a great imperial stout.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber. An opaque black beer, with a large, frothy, lacing, mostly lasting brown head. The aroma is moderately malty (chocolate, cocoa, roasted grain), with notes of smoke, alcohol, vanilla. Th flavor is heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Full body, velvety/creamy texture, soft carbonation, long finish with moderate bitterness, moderately alcoholic. It doesn’t add anything in terms of originality in the crowded world of Imperial Stouts, still I can’t deny that it’s almost perfectly executed, hence the high score. Very good looking laces and pleasant mouthfeel, with the smoke adding a little depth.

For an investment of cash and an awesome label comes a pretty mediocre impy. Left a little unimpressed, but on I go....
At cellar temperature and into a snifter. Tarrish, used motor oil, headless with no life and oily legs as its swirled about the glass. Malty, thick, deeply chocolaty and luscious nose screams sultry desserts of old. Liqueurish but withholding of that ABV. And then it ends. Big malts, rocketing towards overload. Bitter/sweet with a woody end. Burnt toast, cocoa, light vanilla. Hits hard; high fusels; warming, heated, fuelled ’hot’ finish. No character. Lean, softly frothy with good length. Offers a soft, mineral edge. Cloying, but just enough charred wood, cola soda, tar and roasted grain is there to shift it. Fail for me. Pretty average!!! Vampire Slayer. Bottled 11/2012, purchased 8/2014. This is a delicious imperial stout. The years have treated it nicely. Sweet and chocolately. Gonna go buy the rest of these old Vampire Slayers at my local shop now. Bye.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clown Shoes Undead Party Crasher wins on name alone. I haven’t even sipped the beer yet and it’s the best name ever. This brew is an opaque black brown liquid with a tiny head of small tan bubbles. Nose is faintly of dark chocolate, black coffee and sweetness of the alcohol. Taste is rich dark chocolate with just the right amount of bitters. Not a lot of coffee in the taste and there is a sweetness on the end. the body is full and a bit silky. a very solid beer.

I hate clowns. I hate clown shoes. What a stupid name for a beer, really! Anyway, this undead party crasher, slightly two years over date, was a joy to drink. Hell, it even made me laugh one or two times. Dark chocs, roast,, raisin, vanilla, some coffee. Just ad it up, clowns. Sweetness wins over the bitter in this case. Next time i´m going to the circus I´ll order this one.

22oz bottle. Pours black with a creamy tan head. Delicious dark malt flavors that are not too sweet. The hickory and ash smoke notes work really well with this one and make for a unique impy stout. My favorite from Clown Shoes so far.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled sample via and shared with oakbluff. Black in colour with moderate carbonation. Aromas are of toasted marshmallow, roasted malts, and vanilla. Fairly balanced in the mouth, with notes of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, and char. A touch of sweetness, but not at all cloying. A solid performer overall.
