Countbeer (2853) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - MAY 8, 2013
Bottle: Medium sized, vast and thick and very slowly changing ashy brown head on top of a pitch blak beer. Aromas of dark chocolate, barley roast, some hops, some carbo gass, light hint of spices, roast, some tar, some herbs & spices, hint of garbage and cabbage. Flavours of (dark) chocolate, coffee beans, roasted barleys, bitter, coffee roast, some cacoa, wood burn, malt roast, light earth and the slightest hint of something coal a like. Overall a good dark bitter roast. Aftertaste is a bitter with chocolate, barley malt roast, coffee and some herbal roast. Low carbo, soft smooth creamy mouthfeel, full body and a creamy texture. Quite basic but very solid. And it’s easy drinkable with a smooth deeper dive...

Bottle, bought @ Kihoskh, Cph. Pours opaque deep black with a medium, staying, creamy, beige head. Aroma has sweet chocolate, light chestnut, a hint of coffee, light blackberry. Low to medium carbonation, fine dry and very creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has lovely luscious chocolate, a smoked hint, nuts, light roasted. A bit of coffee and mild vinious notes. Very mellow and well balanced. By far Clown Shoes’ best Imperial Stout.

Very well made American Imperial Stout that is rich and sweet with notes of coffee and chocolate. Very little head when poured into glass from a 22 oz bottle but nice lacing that lingers. Aroma is pure coffee and Bourbon. Color is pitch black and beautiful.

Pours a pitch black with a small khaki head with some lacing. Aroma is of roasted malts, smoked meats, espresso, and a little booze. Taste is roasted malts, smoked meats, espresso coffee, dark chocolate, anise, licorice, and some burnt caramel. Has a medium-full body with a creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, semi bitter, moderately long finish with no noticeable alcohol. Ov Overall, a pretty nice Imp. stout that hides its abv very well.

GIJOE (128) - Monterey, California, USA - MAY 2, 2013
A delectable cauldron of blackness, this beast smells of roasted malt, coffee, anise, and booze. The flavor spectrum is complex with interwoven layers of sweetness and bitterness. Thick and creamy, lively carbonation. This is a tasty beast! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sweet, woody, toasty, and caramel. Very smooth and syrupy with a well hidden ABV. Better flavor and smoother, more syrupy palate than Blaecorn Unidragon.
