COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In a world full of uncertainty, hardship, and people trying to hold us back, do we need the undead and trademark attorneys too? Clown Shoes says, "No, die, monsters, die!" Forces of darkness brought about a change in the name of this beer, which was released to celebrate our second anniversary, but it still sports signature dark malts, holy water, and malt smoked locally with hickory and ash.

22 ounce bottle. Opaque black color. Small fluffy tan head. Rich espresso malt aroma has notes of bittersweet chocolate and charcoal as well. First sip is rich dark roasted malt, with hints of espresso, charred wood and chocolate liqueur. Complex and bittersweet, the underlying smokiness stays with this all the way through. Big chewy mouthfeel finishes like a rich, bitter espresso. Very tasty and unique. Definitely worth seeking out!

From the 650 ml. bottle. The pour is black with a long lasting soft tan head. Lovely to look at. Aroma of dark roasted malts, dark overripe fruit, thin smoke, but subtle hops. The body is medium to full. The taste is highly pleasant with its dark, sweet malt character and low bitterness at the end. This is one of those stouts that knows how it is done.

On tap at Cloverleaf. Pours a dark brown color with caramel colored head. Aroma of slight smoke, chocolate, and brown sugar. A chocolaty stout with the perfect smoke flavor. Most smoke (as opposed to roast) beers taste like liquid smoke. This has the perfect delicate smokiness which I have not come across before. Really enjoyed this brew.

Interesting & pretty unique imperial stout. It has a deep dark pour w/ a big mocha head that leaves good lacing. The Aroma is roasty w/ just a hint of chocolate. The taste is quite burnt w/ some roastiness & another hint of chocolate. There’s a lot of flavor going on but the body is a hair thin to carry them all through. However, this is still tasty & a fine effort!

Bomber. Pours a deep, brownish-black, opaque with a medium espresso-ish color head, decent retention and lacing. Nose is milk chocolate, earth tones, roasty, malt, smoke. Mouth is medium-full bodied, oily, coffee, cocoa, smoke, some soot (burnt wood?). Decent.

From bottle Vampire Slayer 2013: Pour - pitch black with thin tan head. Aroma - can smell this beer from 2 feet away. Smoke, chocolate, burnt toast, booze, and brown sugar. Taste - bitter, burnt, smoky malt with nice bitter sweetness and boozy taste. Palate - oily, slick mouthfeel with a bittersweet finish and fizzy carbonation. Medium-full body. Good beer. Not a huge fan, but I have one cellared for another time so we’ll see how that goes. Reminds me of Dragon’s Milk without the bourbon barrel flavor.
