COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In a world full of uncertainty, hardship, and people trying to hold us back, do we need the undead and trademark attorneys too? Clown Shoes says, "No, die, monsters, die!" Forces of darkness brought about a change in the name of this beer, which was released to celebrate our second anniversary, but it still sports signature dark malts, holy water, and malt smoked locally with hickory and ash.

Wow. They nail everything I enjoy about the style in this one. Pours thick and black with tiny, but clingy brown head. Aroma is much molasses pushing forward through the semi-sweet malt roast and some chocolate notes. The flavor gets even better - pretty much ideal for my tastes - balancing the aforementioned sweet roast and molasses with just enough bitter in the finish. Said finish is not too dry, but pretty clean. Great stuff!

Bottle to snifter. Pours oily black. Small beige head, large bubbles linger along side of glass. Aroma is Toasted malt, touch of chocolate, touch of smoke. Taste is BlackBerry, blueberry raspberry, pomegranate, with a healthy dark chocolate kick at the end. Warming, I get a slight whiskey like finish, but the bottle does not say this is barrell aged. Must be the hickory.....I like it. Below avg carbonation, but very smooth, almost velvety mouthfeel. A nice stout. Now I am more excited to try my "Flight of the Angry Beast", which contains this beer in the mixture.

Heavy cocoa nibs and lighter licorice. Deep black coloring. Taste had bitter licorice and malts roasted to bring out the light smoke. Smoke isn’t heavy which is perfect. Some tobacco that’s already ashed. Tap
