In a world full of uncertainty, hardship, and people trying to hold us back, do we need the undead and trademark attorneys too? Clown Shoes says, "No, die, monsters, die!" Forces of darkness brought about a change in the name of this beer, which was released to celebrate our second anniversary, but it still sports signature dark malts, holy water, and malt smoked locally with hickory and ash.

Bottled sample via and shared with oakbluff. Black in colour with moderate carbonation. Aromas are of toasted marshmallow, roasted malts, and vanilla. Fairly balanced in the mouth, with notes of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, and char. A touch of sweetness, but not at all cloying. A solid performer overall.

Bottle:   Dark pour, brown head, foamy, nice lacing.   Sweet soy, dark chocolate, light bitterness, toasty, feels heavy.   Some dark pitted fruit.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Lots of sweet soy and dark chocolate on the finish.   Low hop and actually low roastiness.   Easy drinking big stout.   Thanks Kevin!

Damn well made beer. Wish the head stuck around a bit longer, but that’s nitpicking. Great notes of chocolate, no alcoholic heat. Great dessert beer pairing with rich foods. I chose a cheese and pear tart with slated caramel.

Black with thin rimming lacy tan head; aroma is chocolaty and slightly roasty; Flava is rich tangy sweetness with notes of vanilla/caramel into roasty tangy malt dryness; feels medium to thick creamy with some fizzy foaminess

Pours big and thick and black with a rolling dark tan head. Smells like molasses, coffee, dark chocolate. Tastes very complex with caramel chocolate, roasty malts, chocolate, and christmas cake flavours, and very low hop count.has a bug thick mouthfeel almost the consistency of pancake syrup, big and heavy and absolutely delicious. .has a wonderful doughy yeast and is really a fantastic tasting stout. Can you tell i loved it?

650ml brown bottle. Opaque black pour with a low sitting skiff do dark brown head. Nice lacing left in the glass which I don’t always see for the style. Nose has chocolate/cocoa powder and notes of raisin/dark fruitiness and slight nutty note. Rich flavours of dark chocolate, roast, some mild smoky notes. Sharp roasty aftertaste with moderate bitterness, slightly woody, not much alcohol showing. Full bodied and mouth coating. Good impy , but kept wanting more smoke and more bitterness.

Pours black with an above average sized brown head from bottle into stemware. Taste is very rich and predominantly chocolate and malts along with smoke sweet and caramel. Smooth finish and nice and thick mouth feel
