4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Deep opaque brown body, medium dissipating light brown head. Rich nose, lots of coffee and charred sugars, sweet, smoky, and vinous with notes of dark chocolate and dark fruits. The first impression the body makes is charred notes and prickly, warming alcohol, subsiding into a lingering bitter, sweet dessert of dense dark sugars and roasted coffee. Nice interplay of smoky, sweet, and bitter elements. Very good beer.

4.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bomber poured into snifter. Pours a gorgeous deep opaque black with an average light brown head. Aroma is of vanilla, black chocolate, moka, liquorice, and maybe some dried fruits. Taste is pretty sweet and thereís some roast in there too which confers a slightly acidic aftertaste. Mouthfeel is wonderful. So slick, itís really pleasant. The low carbonation is perfectly fine with me. Overall: one of the best imperial stouts Iíve ever tasted! The balance and quantity of different perceivable aromas is just astounding. Very, very well done.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: AUG 8, 2013 Pours almost black, slight khaki head, good lacing. Aroma is molasses, roast malt, very slight chocolate and coffee, bit of alcohol astringency. Taste is molasses, roast malt, good amount of alcohol, ever so slight coffee and milk chocolate. Mouth feel is full, medium carbonation, lot of alcohol heat and astringency, fairly dry finish. Overall good, not as complex as I would like, a lot of alcohol presence.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Rust-beige head, very soon gone over very carbonated brown-edged black beer. Tobacco nose initially, as from cigartobacco/leaf, bit of thick chocolate wafers, as well as wet cardboard, and lastly some weird, not really waned aroma (Iíd rather not name), that comes with every new sniff, immediately to vanish again - fleeting but repeating. Tobacco, black & milkchocolate, bitter finish with moccha and more black chocolate. Dark green leaves (aucuba), wood. Quite carbonated; slick, velvety MF, warming alcoholheat. Iíd preferred garlic as the extra aroma, even as a vampire.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bomber from TW, cellared for 6 months. Deep brown-black pour with a persistent tan head leaving heavy lace. Nose is chocolate, booze and a hint of licorice. Heavy body and moderate, fine carbonationn with a slick mouth feel. Chocolate, cherries, licorice, mocha and vanilla. While the start and middle are sweet and dessert-like, the finish dries out a bit with some charcoal, oak and soy entering. Balanced a bit on the sweet side for me, but still very good. Compares favorably to Abyss, Parabola and Dark Lord.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Iím becoming more and more impressed with these guys. This one pours a dark brown color with a brown head. The aroma is toasty with some dry dark chocolate and no hops to speak of. The flavor is rich yet dry with chocolate and smoke. Nice rich chocolaty finish. Iíll pick up a bottle next time I see one. Very nice stuff.
