COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In a world full of uncertainty, hardship, and people trying to hold us back, do we need the undead and trademark attorneys too? Clown Shoes says, "No, die, monsters, die!" Forces of darkness brought about a change in the name of this beer, which was released to celebrate our second anniversary, but it still sports signature dark malts, holy water, and malt smoked locally with hickory and ash.

Weíve had Clown Shoes around here for awhile, but I never have seen this one on the shelves until very recently. Snagged up a bottle as soon as I saw it as this is one Iíve wanted to try for awhile. Poured into a snifter. I let this warm up for about 15 minutes out of the fridge before I poured. Pours hesitantly out of the bottle - a slow glug. A pleasant dark tan head sits on top, but fleets away quickly. Leaves tiny bits of lace stuck to the glass. Sweet aromas of milk chocolate, vanilla cookies, booze, roasted nuts. A nice profile for sure. This beer is a little disappointing in the mouth. Drinks much thinner than I expected from a big bold beer. Light carbonation, slick finish. Needs more "chew" to this to stand up to the flavors and ABV. This is one of the sweeter Impy Stouts Iíve had in awhile. Milk chocolate is for sure the main player, sweet from start to finish. Light char flavor melds in well, and finishes with a whisper of boozy aftertaste. Good beer for sure that Iíd revisit as I loved the flavor. But they need to tweak the mouthfeel a bit to give this one just a little more girth.

Strong coffee flavor with a little boozy after taste. Dark coffee appearance. This is a pretty great stout and is not over powerful like an imperial stout usually is.

Pitch black pour. Moderate head, dark tan in color, wich dissipates and leaves alcohol lags on my glass. Aroma... Dark chocolate, dark fruits, licorice, vanilla, cherry. Taste is chocolate, licorice, vanilla, oak. Full body. Good stout!

Shared a bottle with my mates. Roasty aroma, coffee, chocolate, some dark fruits and smoke. Generic but well made imperial stout.

Pours a viscous, black color with a big, stable brown head. Has aromas of toffee, fudge, smooth coffee and nougat, leading to a well balanced, slightly sweeter nose. Tastes of molasses, glazed toffee, earthy malts with hints of bitter coffee, coated up by a decent creaminess. Roasted coffee beans provide an enjoyable balance to the sweet, warming toffee. Turns even sweeter during the finish, with sugary coca-cola, molasses and a gently, dry, bitter chocolate note.

Very roasty, perhaps a little smoky, good body but not great. A little boring, but maybe thatís because Iím having too many imperial stouts.

Bottle, 2012 I think - old enough to still be Vampire Slayer. Pours opaque black, small dark brown head, creamy and slow to dissipate leaving nice lacing behind. Aroma is roasty, tobacco, chocolate. Flavor is light plus sweet and light bitter, roasty, a bit burned, notes of cocoa. Medium plus body, lingering bitterness and a creamy mouthfeel. This is a solid straight imply.
