10-May-08 (330-ml bottle, Best before May, 2007: Obtained 10-Apr-08 in trade with bogdi1, thanks Juha!) Hazy, dark-straw color. Small, nearly-white head fades fast to a thin layer that is propped up by the carbonation bubbles rising through the beer. Oxidized nose, cardboard is quite strong, some grainy malts in the background. Doesn’t smell bad, just old. Dry, corny, grainy malts at the forefront with very light spicy hops far in the background. Not great flavor, but it is reasonably malty. Moderate cardboard is present but not gross and it shows less prominence than the nose. Light in body, soft in carbonation. Not awful when cold, but as it warms up, look out. I expect it will be better if fresher too, but not much better.

RBESG Sheffield 2009 Grand Tasting @ Harlequin. Crappy corny lager, nothing really noticable about this belwo average pale lager.

Land #56. Leicht penetranter und hefiger Geruch. Leicht würziger, schnell wässriger Geschmack, leicht getreidig, milder, etwas saurer Abgang. Für diese Breiten ist das Bier sicherlich recht gut gelungen! Danke an den Doppelbock für das Teilen des Biere und an den Lieferanten Jevers Zeuge! [bottle @ RBESG 2009, Grand Tasting] Rank hay aroma. Clear straw appearance. Watery water flavour with a touch of grain. Light body, medium carbonation.

From the Bottle at RBESG Harlequin, Sheffield 19/07/2009 Malty aroma. White head. Golden coloured and smooth on the palate with a crisp and slightly dry malt finish.

Bottle at RBESG 09 Sheffield. Pale gold Stale as xxxx. Toast. Really rancid.

Clear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toffee, butter, sugar, cardboard, paper. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20090719]

Bottle @ RBESG Grand Tasting 2009... Bright yellow ... horrible graint hop ... again crap lager.

Bottle at the RBESG09, Grand tasting, sheffield. Alround rating: Quite light pale grainy and a little buttery malts, some bitterness but on the sweet side, but thin and drinkable enough. Clean.

Bottle @ RBESG Grand Tasting 2009. Butter and mayonaise in the aroma and flavor. Grainy and corny sweetish. Horrid.

RBESG Sheffield 2009 Grand Tasting at the Harlequin. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma is very sweet, bready and corny. Flavour is sweet, bread, corn, no hops, very thin.
