UPDATED: OCT 7, 2014 Quite a pleasant beer for Ecuadorian standards. Ok light hops note. The best commercial pick here.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2015 Drank this in Quito in 2010. Corn, cereal, herbal hops, clear pale golden, light sweetness, lightly bitter, slight sourness, light body, average carbonation, crisp, dry bittersweet finish.

Bottle 0,33l. Pale golden colour, with small frothy head. Mostly skunky aroma (green bottle symptom), there are also corn, hay, straw and a little bit of lemon hops. Sweet light taste at the start, than turns into lght bitter finish. Light to medium body, watery, soft carbonation...poor one.

Bottle. Typical pilsner aroams with corn and cereal highlights. Cereal, corn, malt, and bread notes. A bland ting from the hops. Light in body with a below a stage mouthfeel. Pretty much your typical Latin American pilsner style beer.

330ml bottle. Corn and ester aromas. Pours pale gold, with fast vanishing white head. Poor mainstream lager.

Bottled 330cm3. -Yellow/golden coloured, small white head, mild corn in the nose. Malty and mild hoppy with evident maize presence. Short and quite tasteless bitterish finish. Weak as I’ve expected but new country is new country.

Lots of skunk with is one. Preferred pilsner to this. No hop, malt liquor flavor.

I dont know, everyone says this is miles ahead of pilsener, but its really not very good. Perhaps without the green bottle; the aroma was all skunk every time I tried it. True, the taste is fuller, more rich malt than the bland adjunct funk of pilsener, but its far from a good brew.

Bottle drank at Guayaquil International Airport Jose Joaquin de Olmedo. This one pours the typical clear pale lager color. However it shows a surprisingly clean herbal smell giving way to maltier hints. Notes of mint, apples, pineapple, fresh green leaves and dough. Clean herbal taste, slightly watery but perfect for what it is. It reminds me of a fresh Stella Artois. This one is a fine commercial lager from Ecuador, miles away from the bland Cerveza Pilsener. It can hold its own against most european examples of the style.
