Bottle shared at chriso’s Post-GBBF 2014 Tasting - London. Pours pale yellow with a white cream head. Not bad. Some light hay, minerals, lemon rind and stone fruits. Light bodied with average, spritzy carbonation. Light smokey hay finish, dry pale bread. OK but there are some brewing faults here.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask, handpump at The Tram, Eardisley, Herefordshire, Tuesday 31st December 2013 (New Years Eve) Golden in colour with a white head. There is a light citrus fruitiness to this beer but the malt threatens to envelop all, I think a little more hops and a tweak here and there with the malts this could be better, as it is, it’s fine. Sweetish easy drinking golden bitter with a slight bitter edge, I had two pints so it can’t have been too bad I guess. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Half-pint, hand-pulled in The Crown Inn, Oakengates on 6th Dec 13.
Almost clear golden colour (the wheat malt stopped it being crystal clear I suppose) with a good white covering that held well.
Not a lot going on aroma wise: mild hop and fruit esters, but you had to dig for them.
The taste was a pleasant blend of Pale Malts and semi-bitter hops, couldn’t find any wheat flavours.
Pleased to have tried it: OK, but not really exciting, just a run-of-the-mill Pale Ale.
