4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Quinten (1030) - zaandam, NETHERLANDS - JUN 25, 2009
At an slijterij in opmeer, bottle 33cl, hazy amber, full fizzy head, wow lots of fruits like grapefruits and orange, some grain and bitter, beautiful one and one of the favorites now.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Martinus (873) - Nijmegen, NETHERLANDS - APR 7, 2011
Pale light amber with a cream head which isn’t sticking around long.
Aroma of malts, some citrus fruits, and some caramel. The flavour is sweet with notes of malt, yeast and only a slight fruitiness, which is rather unexpected given the fruity smell. Dry finish. Rather thin but altogether not an unpleasant beer at all.
(from tap @ De Kluizenaar)
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 rand (820) - SWITZERLAND - MAY 15, 2010
Bottle 33 cl from Willems in Grobbendonk (B). Aromas of malt, yeast and bread, herb and lemon keys + zest, for this blond-orangy with average crackling. Mostly round, medium body, creamy texture, toffy, crunchy with points of coriander and celeri. Final yeasted bitter.

Copper-red beer.Nice hoppy citrus aroma. Also coriander noticable. Flavour is nicely balanced. Again coriander and citrus but nothin overwhelming. A very nice beer indeed.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 DenverLogan (422) - MileHi, Colorado, USA - JUN 2, 2006
Made by contract for Brij. Bluysenaer - a restaurant on the edge of Gent. Amber head, bright gold - copper. Nice aroma of bread - wheat. Rich malts, full body; a little rought and sour finish. Had June & at Het Waterhuis.
4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 MMortier (11) - Ghent, BELGIUM - JUL 3, 2008
My favourite proefbrouwerij brew. Fruity and sirupy as it is, there is a common element to all their beers that seems to have reached an optimal equilibrium here. Starts out very sweet but tender complexities cause for a long finish. One to take in large trusty gulps, a very pleasant beer to drink. Don’t believe the 7% though, you can easily underestimate this beer’s effects.
Hard to find, even in Ghent.. I know only two places here that serve this one. All the better, I guess.
