Milk jug shared at Paul’s Thanksgiving tasting. Pours golden amber with a thin head. Sweet apple and honey in the aroma, almost like cooked apples. The flavor has apples, rasisiny dark fruits, and booze. Solid, way better than the Lucky Lion.

Bottle at Paul’s tasting supplied by Paul. Pours a orange and brown tinged clear amber. Smells like mince meat pies, raisiny and sweet and spicy. Boozy and estery. Lots of hot booze. Not so good. Sweet raisin and spice on the finish.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Dickinsonbeer (5076) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - NOV 28, 2010
After having lucky lion, this one seemed quite a bit better, but still not great. Pours a deeper caramel amber woody copper- still. Aroma is sweet, fruity esters, sharp honey, fruits- raisin, prune, apple, grape, grass, apple skin. Flavor is red apple skins, grass, honey, high alcohol burn, raisin puree, grape juice, tea, earth and a sharp finish- Not horrible.
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20 auerbrau (2666) - Peace Dale, Rhode Island, USA - NOV 13, 2010
Sample poured at the Cider Mill. I had this both from the half-gallon jug cloudy version and from the 750mL bottled version. This was the most raw and intense of all the ciders I had, full of raisins and molasses. Pours a dark purplish brown. Big whisky nose, oak, booze and barrel. Again...apples? I guess I need to develop some appreciation for the traditional New England style of booze-heavy cider. Or not, because, in my opinion, this stuff is rot-gut. I can’t believe for $20 you can buy a gallon plastic milk jug container of this stuff. It seems more dangerous than Four Loko. Fusel heaven.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Cletus (6064) - Connecticut, USA - APR 6, 2010
Pours gold with an element of mahogany. Smells of sweet apples and sugary. Tastes sweet and more dessert like than the other two. Mouthfeel is full and the finish is semi sweet with hints of alcohol.

Bottle thanks to cletus, and after a few strong- ones, I hope a 750ml of this by my self, I hope this one does the job. Pours with maple brown body and some decent alcohol legs. Aroma of maple, over ripe apple, apple sauce, cinnamon, raisin, brown sugar, butter and syrup. Taste is much drier than I expected from the nose. Fully attenuated. Notes of dates, caramelized brown sugar, and toasted almonds. Nice and complex. Wish it had a bit higher of a final gravity. Pretty nice. Still and wine like mouthfeel. Different and good!
