3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
25cl bottle. Dark red with small head.
NOSE : tart, cooked fruits, apple, cherry, wood.
SIP : creamy texture with decent carbonation. Medium body. It starts with sweet tart flavors backed by sour cherry. Neither sweet nor sour prevails on the beginning. it gets a bit more sour and ends with fruity dry, clove and cherries like feeling. Develops some metallic and spicy aftertaste.
OVERALL : the beer is mild and smooth. Well balanced but lacks longer finish and more character. Still a nice treat.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Red-amber pour with a white head. The aroma has some strong brown sugar and cherry notes as well as some vinegar. The flavor is more acetic with some cherries and toffee thrown in. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

(25cl bottle thanks to bu11zeye) clear rich copper with few tan edge bubbles. Nose of toast, raisin, alcohol and rich. Taste is watery, raisin, cranberry, oddly sour, low carbonation, watery, and weird seltzer linger.

Bottle, thanks Craig. Brown with no head. Aroma has lots of apple, concentrated apple juice, slightly woody, touch of vinegar. Taste is slightly woody, apple. Quite flat with a mildly sour finish. Not bad but pretty tame

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled 25cl ("Bizon bier", alc. 5.5%, BB 11/2012)
Courtesy of bierkoning. Deep ruby color, small off-white head. Strong fruity-sour, vinegardish "old bruin" aroma. Light to medium-bodied. Tart, vinegardish cherry flavor. Tart aftertaste. Expected more intensive palate. This is quite simple oud bruin, but tasty.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle via Secret Santa bierkoning, thanks! Pours a hazy red/brown with a tan head that is barely there. Aroma is cherry, grape juice and some sugar frosting. Taste is a muted cherry, some crangrape notes, slight caramel and some metallic notes to finish this off. Overall, a beer that had promise but very watery and light overall. Slight sour notes but would never have really said this was anything but a fruit beer.
