Clear brown with thin lacy head. Aroma has dark malts and a touch of wood. Flavour has initial malt sweetness followed by a moderately tart, clean finish. Only slightly woody, vinous.

Bottle. Dark clear red pour with thin off white head. Aroma is roasty, light acetic notes, rich oak aromas, cherry, apple. Taste is tart, not very sour, light winey flavors, cherry, lots of oak. Palate is rather light, quite dry, medium carbonation, very easy drinking and refreshing. Not as sweet and full bodied as a lot from this style are but quite refreshing and tasty.

25 cl. bottle @ home. Procured from Willems. BBF 03/12/2014. Very dark (almost touch black) vinous ruby with a small tanned head. Smells is quite weak, slightly oxidized, metallic, sweet spices, faint liquorish, not much to pick up here. Taste is sweet metallic, light oxidation, touch cacao, faint nuts (cue oxidation prob.), higher quality sugar, lots of herbs & quite heavy dried wine branch, wine leaves, faint red wine grapes. Body is a touch metallic but rich. Close but no cigar. Would have liked for more sourness here and no metallic notes. I had expectation, I cannot say that they were fully fulfilled but I would be lying if I said that I was entirely disappointed either.

Brunetta dal gusto vinoso-acetico non troppo intenso, con derive leggermente sciroppate che rovinano leggermente il gusto. Resta comunque piacevole, ed possibile scovare note leggere di frutti rossi che arricchiscono il retrogusto.

Dark redbrown, a lot of beige foam. Thin body, a bit watery. Aroma of sour apple and vinegar. Taste is tart and sour. Dry finish. Easy drinkable. Some mettalic notes. Not as complex as other beers of this style but still good!

Swaroga (1247) - Brussels, BELGIUM - NOV 1, 2013
25cl bottle. Dark red/brown with small head. NOSE : tart, apple, cherry, pear, cooked dried plums, burned caramel. SIP : oily texture with delicate carbonation and low to medium body. The beer is very delicate and mild. Its like a delicate fruit compote to drink or a Kefir soft drink. Medium sweet and fruity. Delicate sour with metallic finish. Short finish. Nothing exciting there.

Bottle @ home shared with Thompson. Dark red-brown color, small off - white head. Smell and taste sourish, lightly red fruits. Not too sour which makes it quite pleasant to drink. Decent beer.
