4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 scotty (963) - SCOTLAND - APR 25, 2005
Bright golden colour with a long lasting firm white head. Clean malty aroma, just slightly honeyed. Palate has a well balanced sweetness, with just enough bitterness. Overall a well balanced, (MUCH better than Youngs Waggledance) surprisingly less sweet than I thought it would be...delicious, very refreshing.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Edgar (3) - Gent, BELGIUM - SEP 27, 2005 does not count
Bought in Co-op Buckfastleigh, UK. Braille on label. Surprisingly wonderful beer, this. Aroma’a of both honey, ’horsy’ hops and fresh hops. Very pleasant honey taste while malt and hops were not forgotten. Strong but well-balanced bitterness, lingering on nicely together with hop aroma’s after swallowing. Very Good Stuff.

Bottle. Deep straw colour with a short lasting white head. Complex aroma, with clear signs of honey and malt, and some hops. Flavour is initially dominated by the honey, but this then gives way to a pleasant bitterness before leaving an aftertaste of more honey. Very nice indeed.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 hughie (3994) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 5, 2006
Bottle from GBBF ’06. Fair Trade honey. That’s good. Oddly I only perceived the honey as an aroma from the empty glass. Bright gold colour with a small white head. Floral hops in the aroma. Crisp, fresh taste with some malt and a satisfying bitterness. I wonder whether I rate more highly on a nice day. Today the weather in England was perfect: sunny intervals, high of 27C.
