1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 DuffMan (4427) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, - JUL 14, 2007
Clear golden, bubbly white head that doesn’t hang around long. Sweet faintly banana aroma. Bland grainy palate, with a sweet character that doesn’t lend well to the style. Simplistic at best, but for me too sweet to even rate as average.
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Powertrip (841) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - APR 28, 2011
This beer is now brewed by Pike Creek Brewing Company (Big Rock Brewing) in Calgary, AB. Single can purchased from a Co-op Liqour Store on 04/11/2011 in Calgary, AB. Colour: Almost white....with light yellow tinge and medium low head. Nose: Maltose, tomato sauce (??), yeast. Taste: Medium-lgiht sweet, light bitter, light sour. Thin and body-less, lots of icing sugar. A disaster? No, just very void of depth and character. Serves a purpose, but not mine.
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20 patricks110 (914) - Alberta, CANADA - SEP 12, 2009
This beer is surprisingly good for such a low price. Aroma is plain and not objectionable. Hints of grass and malts with a few notes of banana and fruits. Taste is grainy and sweet but uneventful. Not a horrible beer.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 RobBestwick (583) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 6, 2007
From a can, sweet hoppy aroma, gold in colour with a frothy head, bland lager taste, not bad but by no means good.
0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 Oakes (10191) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 23, 2005
Pale straw colour. Cidery, lightly grainy aroma. Quick, with a mineral water fizziness. A beer so flavourless the carbonic acid plays a major role in the character.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 presario (4133) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 23, 2004
UPDATED: JUN 23, 2005 Light yellow and large starting head with big quickly disapearing bubbles. Flavour that wavers between N/A and overhopped under malted. More interesting than a standard macro but not a great, or even a very good beer.
