2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Powertrip (999) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 22, 2010
Single can from Co-op Liqour Store. Colour: Shiny yellow. Nose: Fairly decent bread with butter complex and gouda cheese. Taste: Gruyere cheese, mushrooms, salt. Tastes of a hight ABV than 4%. Deceiving and surprising.
1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 DuffMan (5196) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 19, 2009
Bottle. Barely yellow, average white head. Low grainy aroma, hints of celery. Thin, bland, grainy palate with no hint of hops or character.
1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Fiend (104) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 28, 2005
Didn’t even bother to pour it in a glass...so I’m trusting Presario’s appearance rating:) Typical macro aroma and flavor with a hint of hops. I didn’t notice much of an aftertaste although it did finish sort of sweet.
0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 Oakes (10941) - Savusavu, FIJI ISLANDS - JUN 25, 2005
Straw colour. Grainy-malty aroma with very light hop. Again, a faint hint of hops punctuates the otherwise grainy and very watery palate. Instant finish. A beer designed to taste of nothing, and which almost succeeds.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 presario (4406) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 14, 2005
Pale yellow. Lots of big bubbles in a semi-fluffy head. Very very light aroma with notes of grass and bread covered by metallic notes as it warms. Tastes like a macro Pale Lager that was designed not to have any taste. Sadly for the brewer a light melon taste resides in the finish.
