2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma is lemon and herby - but just a trace of both (although I have got a cold). Yellow copper in colour. Medium bitter taste becoming a bit chemical. Not too fizzy. Nothing offensive here but nothing too exciting either

Yadda yadda. Fine. Yep, this is fine, in an average way. Limited edition for what purpose, cuz they don’t want to commit to too many.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled 31/12/12. A golden coloured beer which poured with no head. Zesty orangey hops in the nose leading to a sweetish fruity flavour. Reasonably high hop levels but there’s a stickiness from the malt. Not bad.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Golden with a white foam. Aromas are clean grain with medicinal lemon and light golden honey. Flavours are cereal grain with crisp lemon and some grassiness. Quite lager-like. Prickly on the palate. Average.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml bottle best before 12 May 2013: poured into a Uk pint sleeve on 16 July 2012.
As pale as a Pale Ale can get without being anaemic: light golden actually with a thinning white head.
The nose is hoppy and summer fruity; the taste follows the aromas almost to the letter with the hops becoming even more prominent towards the end of each gulp. The malt content although playing second fiddle to the hops are noticeable because the beer is far from an over hopped, bittering brew in any way.
Considering it has been brewed for a supermarket chain I’m impressed with it’s quality.

Bottled, 500ml from Co-Op Brighton. Clear gold short head. Quite a thinnish, light beer with a cereal note in the malt and a slight metallic CO2 edge. There is a herby hop note hidden away with a slight vanilla note.
