No real aroma, flat appearance and as bland as you like in taste, although maintains a good body.

Bottle from Co-op in Cheriton. clear mid gold colour lasting ivory head. Oh dear filtered pasteurised and the demerara sugar makes it taste of boiled demerrara sugar. Eek. Slightly musty too. Too sweet too sugary for me and too boiled. I drank this going through Dartford on a train and if you have ever done that journey then this is how this beer tastes.

Brown 500ml bottle, packaged for the Co-Operative Supermarket chain. Poured into my new ’Good People’ (Birmingham, Alabama) tumbler on 17 Feb 2011. The beer was BB 20 May 2011. Lively looking brew, plenty of bubbles rising through the clear orange/light amber body towards the full tightly bubbled head of white. The produced some good lacing as the beer level sank. Very little smell, if any. Slight hint of yeast when it began to warm, otherwise nothing I could find. The taste was a weak mix of hops and malts, each trying to hide behind the other and not be noticed. Semi-sweet apple pie sort of flavours, strange. Had difficulty finding the alcohol within the brew too, everything was very ’understated’ in all ways. Can’t say I was overly impressed and I’ll not be having another one.

Aroma is a bit grassy with a touch of citrus peel. Flavour is quite weak. A bit sweet and sour like a lager shandy.

Bottle from a Co-operative in Penzance. Pours light amber with a creamy white head. Aroma is fruity. Maybe spicy. Med body. Flavor is fruity. Suggests overripe stone fruits. There’s a hint of treacle. Despite the fruit/treacle it is bitter. Not bad.

500ml bottle. Pours golden with a thin head. Aroma is lagerish, dusty pale malt and a tiny citrus hint. Taste is similiar to cheap lager, pale malt and corn. Might be good in the summer.

Quite a tart lemon aroma, with a hint of pils. Good biscuity flavour, slightly soapy and papery, with some sugar and a short, sweetish finish. Warming in the chest, clean tasting and a sparkling orange appearance.
