Pretty good stronger/cheaper alternative to canned Smiths, a very good buy if you nip down the local co-op and have only got the choice of cheap lagers etc!

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 SpiderJon (1) - Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 10, 2013 does not count
Nice dark-copper colour, and reasonable aroma, but it has and unbalanced malty/caramel taste. Very little depth or complexity of flavour, poor hop taste. Definitely not a "premium" beer.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 14, 2012
Can from the Co-op. Pours a dark golden colour with a decent white head that dies away fairly quickly. Aroma of caramel, toffee, alcohol and urinal cakes. Similar caramel and toffee flavours with mild bitterness and a grassy hop linger. Moderate carbonation, light CO2 prickle and a foamy mouth-feel. A little thin. OK.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 berkshirejohn (3643) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - JUN 7, 2012
440ml can from my local Co-op. Amber with a frothy cream head; slightly sour grain aroma; soft, caramel malt flavour; and a metallic finish. Rather expensive for a supermarket own-label beer, and not good value.
