Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Dark brown, almost black. Roasted, almost burnt aroma of coffee and black chocolate. Bitter flavour of dark chocolate and grass with notes of caramel and salt. Grassy and chocolately bitter finish. I’m a porterboy so I find this quite tasty.

Fruit and some malt aromas. Black fruity and a little rich on the palate. Initially quite sweet but finishes with a fruity and slightly bitter full malt finish.

Gravity, Dover BF. Dark brown. No head on the sample I have. Leather, brown sugar aroma. Some tartness and funk. Rough malt sweetness, very low bitterness. Palatable, but lacking in any of the dark sorts of flavors that make dark beer nice.

Cask @ Oliver Twist, Stockholm A mellow and clean brew, easy going and very well balanced. Slightly toasted with a hint of chocolate and vanilla. To me it’s more of a strong mild than a porter. I like milds...

(Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm) Colour is very dark brown, almost black, with dense light brown head. Roasted nose with lots of dark chocolate. Roasted taste with dark, bitter chocolate and dried fruit (prunes). Quite full bodied, with a tarry hint. Easily drinkable despite the abv. Nice!
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 omhper (15956) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - MAR 1, 2006
UPDATED: APR 20, 2006 Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Opaque and near black, Fruity nose with some sweaty hops. Dryish with very soft, rounded moutfeel and firm malt back bone. Cocoa and canned fruit dominates. There’s some some salty licorice in a finish with low bitterness. It’s like chewing a baloon filled with water - it’s soft and full, but it doesn’t have a terrible lot of flavour.
