Cask Conditioned at J. D. Watherspoon - The Sir John Oldcastle, London, as Cinnamon Special Bitter
Hazy amber color. Light aroma of cinnamon and rancid chicken ham. Caramel flavor with cinnamon, low bitterness. Uninteresting.

Cask, The Railway Tavern, Chelmsford. Good white lacing; copper gold colour. Aroma is cinnamon and floral hops. Taste is cinnamon, floral, vanilla, some mild citric hop bite, good bitterness, very sessionable, well balanced and what strikes me is how overpowering the aroma is. This is a strong effort. Cheers.

12th November 2008. Clear amber brown beer. Initially has a fruity start and shows just a touch of malt. Then a cooling aromatic cinnamon blossoms in to a semi dry and sweetish finish. Nicely judged cinnamon and a deft touch for a spicy beer.

Cask in the new crown. Alround rating: Red flaming balls being teabagged, however a sweet nutty bitter is constantly being poured over them to stop the sack from overheating.

Cask handpull at Humphrey Bean JDW, Tonbridge. Having not liked the blueberry, I approached this with trepidation. Copper colour, thin off white head. Cinnamon hits you straight off on the aroma. Now, I like cinnamon, but not sure how it will work in a beer. Its got a lot of cinnamon in the flavour, a spicy bitter finish. The spice seems pretty well integrated. Bit too sharp on the end. Its not terrible, but Im unlikely to drink it again.
