2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 tombyars (1102) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - NOV 23, 2011
First tasted this at Babbity Bowser, Glasgow in November 1993. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear copper red in colour with a thin white head. Hint of malt in the short aroma. Thin mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt gives a digestive biscuit base with tart redcurrant fruit evident. Dusty hops impart a bitter bite to the aftertaste. Finish is rather weak and watery. Nothing outstanding with this bitter.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 tdtm82 (668) - Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 12, 2010
A nice easy going unassuming bitter. Reaks of caramel and a slight dried fruit edge. Enjoyable and very creamy. Could do with a nutty overtone and more hops. A plesant sessionable ale consumed on cask at the White Horse in Chelmsford. Not bad.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Mungo (2472) - Southampton, Hampshire, ENGLAND - MAR 7, 2007
Cask conditioned @ Humble Plumb, Soton. Copper colour. Very dusty hop flavours and some balanced malt. Not great but quite drinkable and a break from the two overly malty beers I’d had just before.
