2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 sm89walt (1419) - Norwich, - JAN 18, 2009
Cask - Glasshouse (Wetherspoons), Norwich. Copper coloured with a white head of no real longevity. Minimal aroma - perhaps a slight toffee quality. Thin and flat generic malt flavours without an ounce of bitterness to speak of. No finish whatsoever. Ends before it ever gets started. In a word: weak.

A Mes rate. Cask at Baker St. ’Sporks. Golden brown with a thin off white head. Berry fruit accents to the nose. Full of bready malt with a little cardboard in the flavour. Maybe a touch of caramel in the finish. Not a showstopper by any means.

Cask handpull at Westgate, JDW, Canterbury. It’s a brown bitter. Some decent malt and raspberry type fruit on the aroma, some decent caramel malt in the mouth and flavour, good condition, some hoppy bite on the finish. As I said, a bitter.
