2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 fonefan (24928) - VestJylland, - SEP 7, 2007
Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2007, London. Clear light amber color with a average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, toffee, butter, (creamy caramel). Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 tombyars (1102) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - NOV 23, 2011
Tasted this in the Saltcot, Saltcoats (JDW) in July 2009. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear gold in colour with a thick creamy white head. Strong intense aroma of vanilla ice cream. Smooth creamy mouthfeel and good lacing throughout. Pale malt component leads you to think a citrus whack is on the cards but a juicy medlay of tropical fruit appears instead. Lychees, mango, honeydew melon, white peach and soft brown sugar assault the taste buds. Floral hop resins give a short bitter aftertaste but fruity malt continue into the finish with dry pommegranate notes. This is an excellent ESB and highly recommended.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 FatPhil (6207) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - OCT 21, 2011
Cask (Cross Keys JDW, London)
Lactic, acidic, and spooned pale ale. Worst of all - it had just come on (wasn’t on when we arrived, had it on our way out). Staff weren’t even anywhere near the bar so that I could tell them they’re selling crap. Should rerate. Should insult the pub.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 anders37 (9908) - Malmö, SWEDEN - OCT 5, 2011

Forget the commercial description, this beer is bland and watery. Golden with a white head. Some malt, some hops, nothing exciting at all and at 5% seriously? One of Wetherspoons mistake beers.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 stravale (574) - Scottish Borders, SCOTLAND - JUL 16, 2011
Cask @ Wetherspoon, Inverness. Appearance - Golden beer, 1 finger white head. Aroma - not much aroma, some sweet malt. Taste - Bland and watery (for 5.0% abv!), again some sweet malt, slight citrus hop, very boring. Nothing much in the palate, finish has some cereal, and slight citrus. A rather tasteless brew for the lager drinkers. The commercial description is a joke.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Bullit (3284) - Burgos, SPAIN - JUL 11, 2011
Cask @ Counting House, JDW. Hazy dark golden colour, off-white head. Nose is malted, bit citric, slightly sour. Flavour is malty, citrus, followed by dry biscuit. A bit dusty. Slightly dry and bitter finish.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 DruncanVeasey (5146) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - AUG 25, 2009
The Baron. Pale gold with a cream rim. Buttery sock aroma I’m afraid. Tired diacetyl-smothered citrus, some decent grassy undercurrents, jellied orange. Vanilla buttery, some cask and biscuit linger, faint lime and grapefruit. Tired and thin beside the Double Header, but a dribble of character remains.

Cask handpump at The Regal (Wetherspoons), Cambridge.
Slightly cloudy, gold with a big head. Vinegar scent. Thin and quite sweet. Sugar and grass in the mouth. Not much in it, though.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Beth101 (444) - West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 14, 2009
on tap at the kings head in Monmouth. Golden colour with a scummy looking head. Aroma of malt with some barley taste of malt with some hops. Smooth. Expected it to taste more like a larger but was surprised to find it tasted like a beer.
