Cask conditioned handpump Red Well Wellingborough. A golden beer with a white head and lacing. A straightforward light easy drinking beer. Nothing big on flavour or aroma; just clean and acceptable. A bit of spritzy pineapple on the nose and moderate bitterness.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 Leighton (4095) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 14, 2010
Cask at Central Bar JDW. Pours mostly clear gold with a faint film. Bready malts on the nose with faint caramel and earth. Sweet with glazed donut, mild bread, caramel and light, perhaps citrusy bitterness. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Lightly sticky on the finish with more sweet, bready notes and pleasant hops. Pretty drinkable, thought it could use a touch more carbonation.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 DruncanVeasey (5146) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - NOV 11, 2010
Not a huge fan of Coach House, especially when I walk into The Sheffield Tap to find their largely interchangeable fruit concoctions usurping the Thornbridge handpumps. Looks like another bog standard brown bitter; copper with a slim off white collar. Negligible autumnal woods aroma; elder, chestnut and a pile of dead leaves. Soft, clean and nutty with a cream, oatmeal and hazelnut accent. Well made, gently nuanced bitter in good nick...but a whole pint would bore me.

Cask, gravity dispensed, at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. Amber with a ring of translucent head; fruity aroma; thin and grainy texture with some light citrus and biscuit flavours; dry and biscuity finish.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 downender (4387) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - NOV 2, 2010
Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol 2/11/10. Deep, slightly hazy gold with a slight, white head. Aroma of sweet malts, grapefruit and apples. Thin mouth feel, with more fruit and sweetness, before a short, bitter finish. One was enough.
