Amber coloured and rich on the palate with a fruity aroma. Malty dry hop finish.
2. Cask Handpump at the Hanging Gate, Weaverham 30/05/2009
Some hop aroma. Small white head. Amber coloured and fruity with a little dryness and malt in the finish.

First tasted this in the Bul Inn, Paisley in October 1996. Cask, handpump dispense.Clear amber in colour with a thin white head. Nice aroma of burnt orange. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malts give a maltoaf base with caramel notes and spices. Slight note of hop resins but short lived. Malt returns in the finish with sweet tangerine and barley sugar. Reminded me of Bushys Old Bushy Tail. A good Autumnal session ale.

Cask at Middlewich Beer Festival 29/10/11 Fairly standard bitter with some fruity taste, not bad

Cask @ the Three Craws. Amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of caramel malts and some fruits. Flavour is malty and fruity. Hint of hops.

Cask in the brew warf. Alround rating: Amber brown sweeter malts, peppery fruity hop character, nicely balanced, if alround served a bit too cold.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Turf TAvern Oxford. A reddy brown coloured beer with a fruity aroma, with berries and oats. The taste is very autumnal - more berry fruits and cake like flavours. OK.
