Bottle - Grapefruit, orange, spice and some nice malts to balance. Clear dark amber and an off white head. Very dark for an IPA. Orange pith, grapefruit and lots of malt (toffee) which balances the bitterness nicely. Although this beer doesn’t have the typical West Coast IPA unbalance that i like, the balance makes this very sessionable with a clean finish. Simple but well done.

I’ve bought a few beers from this brewery. Hopefully this brewery gets more attention cuz they make some pretty damn good beers. Wonderful burps from this stuff... fruity (the usual grapefruity taste) and not quite as raunchy as some IPA that are out there.

Pours a dark copper amber with a medium size head which leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is sweet caramel malts and the Flavour is on the sweet side. The bitterness is there but it’s light and more in the finish.

650 ml bottle. Pours a dark amber with little head. Aromas of toffee and malts. Flavors of light pine, citrus, caramel, and tasted malts. Quite nice though a little flat.

Warm looking amber coloured. Bit of honey on the nose. Mouthfeel a bit leaner than expected. Short aftertaste. Somewhat disappointing.

On tap at The Oakwood in Kitsilano. Medium carbonation with a very dark amber color. Not much nose. Wow! This is a very flavorful and well balanced brew, with lots of hops and malts evident. Tilts somewhat to the malts in my opinion. A winner!

Cloudy amber color, darker shade, with medium sized head. Aroma of caramelized malts. Lean mouthfeel, a bit less bodied than expected, with a quite good flavor od caramel, caramelized malts, a bit of toastiness, light biscuits; quite strong bitterness.

Very strong grapefruit aroma, citrus flavour. A lot of tanginess at the back of the throat. They told me bottles will be available on the island come September.

22 oz. bottle, split many ways, pours a cloudy orangey amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of skunky citrusy hops, vegetal notes (uh oh), and some toffee - really skunky and vegetal-like. Flavour is dominated by the vegetal notes, skunky hops and some toffee-like backing. Not the most refined or invigorating flavour profile. Decent local IPA.

Hazy amber, beige head.Nose is light honey, slightly piney. Piney fore, vague sweet mid, mild but lasting hop finish, rye notes. More of a Pale than an IPA
