2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours two fingers of head on a cloudy dark straw colored body.
The aroma is damp grains and lemon.
The taste starts with sharp bitter note, quickly gets malty but not too sweet. Finishes with a slightly metallic bitter note.
The texture is crisp.
It’s fine, malty ale.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
"Solid red. Hybrid Irish/hoppy amber. Sweetly hoppy, malty and nutty all at the same time. A little thin but not lacking in flavor or aroma...

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber. Pours a clear dark amber color with a medium light tan head. A light caramel and toast nose. The flavor is light bitter hops, some caramel, maybe sweet toffee, pretty dry overall. Light, pretty nice. A bit of fruity hops, medium orange peel in the finish.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Coalition Brewing in Portland, OR on 4 June 2013.
Poured a slightly hazy amber. Grainy malt and some grassy hop on the nose. Hop resin flavours offset by some nice roasty malt notes on the palate. Very balanced and drinkable for a red.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Good to be rater #10. Bomber from Made in Oregon. Pours translucent dark amber - maybe a touch of ruddiness. Slight creamy beige/tan head. Aroma is mixed fruit over smooth slightly roasted malt. Med body. Lots of flavor - no one flavor is too intense - but there’s quite a mix. Fruit/toffee/chocolate I’d say among others. It’s bitter enough to say it’s towards dry. Finish is sort of a chocolate tinged earthiness. It’s a good beer, and much nicer to quaff than most ambers.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz bottle from "Lifesource" in Salem.
Pours very dark amber, really brown with a large, rocky lighter tan head.
Nice malt driven aromas..chocolate,biscuits, and caramel ..a little earthy.
More resiny hop bitterness in the taste but the malts still dominate..caramel,treacle..slightly burnt bread..very nice.
Great thick and smooth palate to this one..goes down a treat.
Overall excellent amber.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
This must be one of the best Ambers I have ever had. (No girlfriend jokes) 9.5/10 in category. There is a musty malty nose. Nice red/brown color. SLight honey-malts give way to a bitter note at the end.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle:   Deep amber, garnet hues, moderate to large finely bubbled head, sticky lacing.   Very soft caramel and toasted malt aroma.   A bit of pith as well.   First thing I notice is a decent malt base, but flavorwise its fairly light.   Slight toasted malt, not any of the caramel like aroma, little hop presense.   Seems like a lghter Amber, but it still remains chewy.   As it warms, the pitch and slightly grainy malts comes out on the back.   Nothing off about this, a little boring, but overall clean and a bit chewy.   not bad.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Wonderful red color and rich sweet malty flavor, but little hop aroma, and a harsh bitter finish left me wanting more. Nothing special here.
