I was lucky enough to receive a bottle of this from thagr81us in a trade down in South Carolina. It poured an excellent and vibrant straw yellow with medium cloudiness. The head was white and frothy. It smelled great, slightly yeasty with citrus hints to it. It was just like you’d want a Kolsch to smell. The taste was excellent as well. It featured the citrus like yeasty flavor with a slight sourness to it. It was superb. The beer was very, very light, almost like a pale pale wheat. It was very drinkable and my friend and I both really enjoyed trying it. I greatly recommend this. It was perfect on a humid summer night.

Bottle picked up by my lovely wife: Poured a hazy straw color with a frothy foam white head. Aroma is full on grains with hint of citrus or honey. Taste is bitter with honey up front leaves way to harvest wheat and light malt. Very refreshing beer.

Pours a foggy golden yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is mainly grain with a hint of honey. Taste is mainly grain and honey. American style of a German tradition. After coming back from germany this really doesn’t hold a candle to a true Kolsch but it is refreshing. Got it in a BIF trade.

Growler shared by BrewEngineer at the 15th Richmond Ratebeer Gathering, 7/16/11. Pours a hazy golden color with a large creamy offwhite head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of grainy malts and a grassy finish. The taste is pale grainy malts, a sweet malty note and a grassy finish. Medium bodied. Fairly bitter. Nicely balanced. World class kolsch.

Another American twist on a German style, unfiltered for the additional German yeasty flavor, very drinkable
