COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our take on a kölsch style ale that is soft on the palate with delicate malt flavor. Balanced with a touch of wheat and honey notes. Dry and winelike with a flowery hop finish.

On tap at Fleet Landing in Charleston. Pretty tasty and perfectly paired with the season. A lot of toasty grains and grassy hop flavors. Aromas of toasted grain, barley, light ones. Pours a pretty cloudy yellow color with a nice foamy white head.

Yup, its a kolsch. Great on a summer day, sittin by the beach,. having fun with friends. Nice taste and flavor for a ’light’ beer, but nothing special. It can certainly hit the spot for the right moment.

Vibrant golden colour. Fairly clean, with just a slight oversparged huskiness. It’s got a hint of that raw, cracked-grain acidity, which really complements a slightly bready finish.

Draught at Yo Burrito, Charleston. Clear medium gold with lots of bubbles and a low white head. Mild but clean grainy aroma. Moderate, gently prickly carbonation. Nice dry, grassy finish. Really not a bad beer. Very clean and well-made but a bit husky.

Growler shared by Ding at the BSP. Pours a very light, clear straw color with a small white head that left decent lacing while maintaining a ring. The aroma is very clean and dominated by light sweet malts with hints of light fruit sweetness and hops. There is an apple sweetness to the taste that is complemented by just enough hops to leave a clean, crisp finish. The mouthfeel is as crisp as I’ve ever had in a beer and leads to exceptional drinkability...I could have taken down this entire growler in short order. A great kolsch.

Draft. Poured a light straw color with a small white head that did last a while and left a decent lacing. Somewhat wheaty, fruty aroma. Flavor of malt with a bit of fruit and wheat with a bit of hop spice. Kind of an odd flavor combination to me. OK.

UPDATED: APR 9, 2008 Sample at the brewerie, poured pale yellow with a good white frothy head. Smelled sweet and sugary. Tasted very dry and left no aftertaste except for a quickly diminishing sugar and floral finish. *Follow up review of pints at DD Peckers bar and grill. Very nice and smooth, much like i remembered sweet and smooth and it stood up well to spicy and non spicy bar food.

The aroma was fruity with a light caramel and wheat presence and a bit of sulfur. The aroma also carried a light winey characteristic. The beer arrived lightly hazy pale golden straw with a low white wispy head which laced the glass. The flavor was fruity with a light caramel and wheat presence. The flavor had a bit of light sulfur and a low winey note. A nice crisp wheat presence and a well achieved bittering which kept the sweetness in check were on board to preclude a dry finish which carried some wheat into the aftertaste. The body was just medium with a moderate level of carbonation and a light creamy texture on the palate. Pint at EVO.
