UPDATED: APR 30, 2012 Bottle. Pours black with brown head. Nose/taste of burnt coffee, dark roasted malt and cocoa. Some minerals and brine from the oysters. Very dry finish. Medium body.

On tap at closed for business. Drinking this instead of shopping for weddig dresses. Fuxk that. Huge and roasty. Coast can really make a stout. A little creamier than blackbeerd

Served on cask at Brewvival 2012. Pours a dark brown color with a thin frothy brown head. Decent head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, mineral and salty notes. The taste is bitter roasted malts, coffee, mineral notes and a bitter hop finish. Medium bodied. Nicely made oyster stout.

Sample from a growler. Bittersweet coffee aroma. Milky smooth slight chocolate flavor. Finish has a bit of cocoa and a nice creamy texture. Goes down awfully smooth.

Smooth, nice, from the growler. I didn’t really perceive any oyster on the palate, just a smooth dry stout.
